It has been discussed, on the Lawro thread was it?

I don't even think his set pieces are that good. His corners look impressive because the keeper has to tip his attempts to score over, but how often does he put a ball in the right area for someone to get their head on. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good player, but for the last 4 or 5 games he has been poor.

Moscow's inclusion is a bit different. Back in 1993 the semi-final was played as a group stage rather than four teams going into two, but as it was the round before the final it technically counts.
-
You are right McClarky, but with London now being added there are six. Glasgow, Moscow and Dundee are the other three.
-
You'll struggle to find anywhere cheaper than that around that area though, certainly not in an expat bar I don't think. On a monday I know a bar that offers 2 for 1 on their own bottled beer for 5 euros, they'd put the game on for you probably, but you're talking about going to the latin quarter (doesn't take too long and isn't very difficult but it just depends on how far you want to travel and if you want to be able to just walk back.

Its a rule that on loan players can't play against the team they are on loan from.

1. Pele 2. Dino Zoff 3. This is a guess, but Italy, Germany (including this time) and France. 4. Philips Sport Vereniging 5. Royal 6. Well, it means shield, because it's the coat of arms and they win the right to have that put onto their uniforms. 7. I know there's a Young Boys in Switzerland, not sure about Old boys. Guess would be Switzerland, Belgium, Holland or just as a longshot, South Africa. I've really narrowed it down. 8. Again not sure, but I want to say Tranmere.

Sorry Colin!

Are you talking about the Charlton game in the league cup? I was there, just phone died and couldn't meet you all. Or was there another time that I can't seem to think of? A lot of bars will have sky and will put on whatever you want for you. If you are talking about meeting up for a drink and to watch a match then I'd be happy to meet you somehere. As you're in the 8th the closest bar that I like is the Freedom. Monday night they have a pool tournament there though so it will be quite full, if you're any good at pool though it's worth having a go. The PSG is being played then, 18:15 I think though, so yes stay away from the Parc des Princes on Tuesday afternoon unless you have a ticket. Let me know what your plans are and if I can help out in any way. Tickets are still available and the prices range from 14-80 euros.

Still one of the best around though.

Yes, but they make an annual profit of 40 million or something don't they? It's a nice thought, but let's worry about our finances.
-
Yes, but they will have compensated for that fall in income through the league cup run and this new record breaking shirt sponsorship deal. It won't be easy and will take some time, but the club is in a much safer position than all but one other club in the premiership, that being Chelsea.
-
Not going to happen. The club itself still makes a huge profit, once they pay off the debts they will be in a very sound financial position.
-
a) when did this actually happen? why do you need the ref to blow for halftime? you could just score as many own goals as you wanted without them touching the ball.
-
I'm not sure whether we should play Tugay in this game. They might just close him down and it could really hurt us.
-
He's already ruled that out. I'm thinking it has to be a situation where teams are scoring own goals. There doesn't seem to be any other way. I know there have been stuations in which teams have intentionally scored own goals. It doesn't really seem to make sense though, please put us out of our misery.

Dickov?

Lawro has predicted us to lose again, so some good news there. The BBC match preview also includes this: "BLACKBURN ROVERS lost ground midweek in the race with north London duo Spurs and Arsenal for the much coveted fourth place, when held to a one-all draw with Wigan at Ewood Park. A controversial late equaliser from sub Shefki Kuqi ensuring they took something out of the game." Someone explain to me how we lost ground on a team that lost and on a team that didn't play by picking up a point?

Own goals?

Behind The Rovers : A Visual Guide Of Blackburn

I'll also throw my name into the hat if you are looking to see things in and around London. Guildford won't be useful to getting to Blackburn, but I don't know what the rest of your plans are. -
I actually think this has been a great season for United. True they performed poorly in the first half of the season, but now things have really turned around. A massive sponsorship deal, a trophy (even if it would have been their last choice) and they are now everyone's second club (I'm sure that isn't true for everyone but you know what I mean). It hasn't brought the success on the pitch they might have wanted but I think the club image has really done well in the past few months. Their total failings in the first half of the season have enabled them to win the hearts of a lot of people.

The opposition didn't show up and the match was forfeited, with the score being 3-0. It has happened to us, against Forrest wasn't it?
-
Canaries (Norwich)...I think
-
Yes, but that's also the Chelsea team totally out of form and struggling to beat poor Premiership opposition. You have to look at the form, more than position of the club. Arsenal are in a form that is better than the 5th place they currently occupy, but Juventus are also still in good form in the league. There is no doubting for me that the premiership is better than Serie A which somehow manages to maintain this sense of glory despite the fact that all they do is sit off of each other and wait until someone can score, if that even does happen. If you look at how the three Italian teams performed in these quarter finals you'll see that it does give a pretty good reflection. You can outwork them and create chances fairly easily. The only shame was that Lyon decided to sit back when you could and should have killed the game off.

Does this include own goals? Then it could be someone like Hendry.
