Why all the doom and gloom? Just look forward to the great days out in yeovil and Carlisle. Plus, we may even get a good old fashioned Rovers vs Rovers match should Tranmere also get promoted! See, life's not too bad eh? -

Sheff Utd 3 Blackburn 1 I can smell the breeze from Carlisle's shores already. -
Well, the J is practically next to the L and the D is sitting right there next to the C. Easy to make that mistake with a mischievious little finger. I agree that JLucas Neill isn't as bad as to threaten to score an own goal if he didn't get his own way.

Why on earth would Judas Neill sign an extended contract knowing Liverpool are waiting for him at the end of the season?

When I first joined Natwest, they were seen as the good "small guy" bank trying to rub shoulders with Barclays and lloyds (with the green emblem before they merged into lloyds TSB). Now that they are a major high st bank, their arrogance tends to have superseded customer service. Would not recommend Natwest now. RBS are a much more friendly bunch.

Just to confirm, it is Blackburn Roveres who receive the £2.5m from Crystal Palace and not the other way around? -
For sheer embarassment, as a kid I always used to hate my friends for reminding me about Collymore's goal at Ewood. Otherwise Forest's goal that effectively doomed us gives me a sense of subdued surrender just thinking about it. And as for remembering that Ashley Ward miss in the next game...

I was going to post a narrow victory to us. Reading that sentence though gives me an ill feeling... Rovers 0 Everton 4 Johnson and Beattie to run riot over Sandcastle Ewood. -

I was para-gliding in Annecy when my phone vibrated in my pocket. Good news perhaps - I'll check it when I land. Landed. Checked phone. "Ha ha!! Dirty Rovers lose 3-0 to Pompey with 2 red cards to Todd and Neill. And we'll walk over your defence on Wed!" Instructor then asks me if I'm ok or if I felt a bit sick after the flight. I walked off contemplating the possibility/probability that Burnley will get promoted this season and we relegated. -

Pompey 1 Rovers 5 That's me bottom of the league. -
Saw POTC2 over the weekend. Good fun! I really enjoyed it. The skewer scene was hilarious!

Adieu Zizou. It would have been truly awful if the cheating french (dive vs portugal although I'm not complaining and clear dive in the final) won the cup. Alan Shearer is one of these truly naive "life is full of roses" sort of person when he said he thought it was clearly a penalty. You blind al?
-
Although you can be technically excellent at executing a penalty, what really makes a difference on the day is your attitude and confidence (true in all walks of life). Fat Frank puts them away regularly for Chelsea but stepping up there, he was short of confidence. And this lack of self belief was evident in every penalty taker except of course for our german resident who must have felt pumped up after knowing he had put in a second half display, worthy of a titlehood. Klinsmann's hired psychologists to help his team believe they can do it. Yes, they're german and yes we expect them to be efficient machines but instilling this belief with the help of psychologists has clearly helped their confidence. Did you see a poor penalty from them against Argentina? Mclaren - take note! We need psychologists for these people who are clearly not mentally strong. We don't have another Shearer for England yet...

The Italian goalie's name springs to mind here (with an extra o)

Jeffers and Roberts in one day? I for one am looking forward to the pies of Bournemouth in a couple of years time. It's a lovely old town - perfect for a Saturday day out with cheaper away tickets! Come on Rovers!! Sink us to the Championship!! There are so many teams there I'd like to see match their wits against the might of the Rovers.
-
Beggars can't be choosers. And we've become the begging club of the premiership. Kuqi, Gallagher, Derbyshire, Jeffers. Still maybe we'll score more from mid-field...?

Find it a tad ironic that the preview for Germany - Poland is done by someone whose username includes air force. Anyway, never bet against the Germans: Germany 3 Poland 2
