  1. Farewell my boy. Though you made a crucial error that day in Italy, it's good to see you're keen and working to get back into the game. Deepdale beckons.
  2. I couldn't believe that game! I was so up for it, I couldn't wait to be born so I could be a Rover! Unfortunately the big fellah disagreed and I entered this world in 1980. Good game though.
  3. 300 years! didn't realise it was that long ago! Rovers 2 Utd 1 which may not be enough...
  4. I would like to state that Halsey is a blatently biased cheating ###### but I probably can't on this mB.
  5. Wigan 0 Blackburn 1 Am not one for predicting positive results when all the evidence points to the contrary but there you go.
  6. Instructions for Nayef: 1. Print out post on this thread 2. Add ketchup or mayonnaise 3. Eat
  7. Old habits die hard. That used to be a prerequisite for a Rovers defeat. I think we'll see another Everton at Ewood in this match. Rovers 0 - Sunderland 2
  8. I can't be arsed to go shopping really.
  9. That's not harsh. It was down to one downright inexperienced spastic out there. You're 2-1 up against Arsenal in the 120th minute of a cup tie. You have the ball in THEIR CORNER FLAG AREA. Any wise player would have held the ball in the corner flag ticking down the clock. Doncaster player decides to cross the ball in thereby surrendering possession from which Arsenal swiftly counter and the rest you saw on television...heart-broken fans, children in tears, shocked parents, dismayed chairman, baffled manager, subdued doncaster bench, gleeful sky commentators... Stupid stupid stupid Doncaster player!!
  10. £2.20?! That's a cheap pint!! You forgot to add in the rovers factor. It would have been like this: Potential 3880 x £2.20 x 60% turnout (as is the norm) = £5,122. but hey we all knew I wasn't going to be wrong.
  11. I'll buy everyone on this mB a pint if Arsenal and Man U meet in the semis. But you're right, it simply won't happen (remember the draw by that Liverpool chap in 2003 where he ensured Liverpool and Man U were kept apart?)
  12. Boro 3 Rovers 1 Boro 3 Rovers 0 Good dominating performances from rovers on both occasions but like the losers that we are, we walk away empty handed and out of the cup.
  13. Slowly sinking down the table. Ever had that feeling before... Same old Rovers.
  14. Cheer up Barry!
  15. Replace "outclass" with "gave a damn good spanking". We've outclassed sides far too often this season only to see them run away with all 3 points.
  16. Savage and Dickov pick up yellows in a 0-0 show. Is Nelson going to play?
  17. Any pictures of his hat?
  18. We should loan in Bermingham from Man City. A quality reserve striker - quick but untried.
  19. Mark Hughes back in from retirement?
  20. Kuqi and Dickov up front for us? Oh man - I have n e v e r felt as doomed as a Rovers supporter since 1999 (and other relegation battle seasons). Any hope of a victory against West Ham has just evaporated in front of our eyes. I am not joking!
  21. Things that would really lift my depression next year: 5. Revenge tackles on Essien and Diouf 4. Mourinho getting a slap in the face (literally not metaphorically speaking) 3. Rovers to finish in top 6 2. Man Utd finishing in mid-table 1. Brum relegated (don't ask me why this is higher than Rovers) 0. Dating Kirsty
  22. Did anyone else spot the yellow card given to the west ham player for practically the same handball foul as Todd? Perhaps there was a slight hint that he wasn't the last man but nonetheless used his hand to deny the brum player a clear run on goal. (And Halsey was fourth official there last night) Heskey - what a cheat. I know I shouldn't have been grinning like I was in a pub full of brummies but when that yellow card flashed up, followed by angry uncontrollable outbursts from everyone in the pub, I couldn't help myself... Forget Rovers, this will be a fantastic season if Brum (and Everton) join Sunderland down to oblivion.
  23. Seriously guys. Don't mess about with these buggers.
  24. I wonder which one of those three will make the fatal mistake that leads to the defeat against West Ham on Saturday?
