Ill be sitting in C1 (thats couch 1), with B1 and B2 and B3.... (Beer 1, beer 2, beer 3....)  biggrin.gif

It is probably cheaper and easier to join you out in Tas than going to Cardiff. Don't forget the celebratory beers: 1,2,3 etc...

Lee any official figure from your side yet pal?

3,500 7,000 12,000!!!!! huh.gif

"about 5000" was the reply when I asked someone who would know this morning.

Mate went down yesterday afternoon and asked the bloke in the office how many we had sold and how many we hoped to sell.

He said they'd already sold 8000 and that we hoped to sell 25,000 at least. Dream on ticket bloke.

Im quite confused now...

I was offered East stand only for the £35 category. either right at the front on the lower tier or near to the front in the middle Tier.

I asked for the middle Tier, however, my ticket says 'BLOCK L7, ROW 27' which according to SG194's map puts me 27 rows up in the Lower Tier...???

I queried why the seats at the front of the middle tier appeared to be cheaper. The ticket office lad told me that they were actually in the lower tier, the back few rows. So I can only assume that some of the diagrams are a little misleading. I would guess that you are in the lower tier at the back.

I am absolutely ashamed to be a rovers fan at the minute – the ticket sales for the semi final really do upset me. So latest estimates suggest only 8,000 have been snapped up… I go to every single home and away game, no matter what the kick off time is or whether it is on sky or not. I understand that people with young families or people that simply cannot afford to go to every game can’t… but it seems the excuses for people not going to games recently are a shambles. What bigger game than rovers in an FA Cup semi final? Apart from the final itself?!

I just wish people would stop f ing moaning!! These fans are the same that moan for years about us being rubbish in cup, small club etc etc then when we get to the semi’s at a top quality 70,000-seater stadium all they can do is moan about how far away it is, the kick off time and how expensive the tickets are! GET A GRIP!

I’m not very happy about the kick off time, or the journey time but hey – I’m still going. Blackburn Rovers need every single supporter they can get and need cheering on. Do proper Blackburn Rovers fans think it will look good on the television when all you can see are red empty seats?!

No doubt some fans are waiting for the tickets to go on open sale to they can sit together with friends and family, but I very much doubt there are tens of thousands waiting for this opportunity?

I hope the people that don’t bother going to Cardiff really regret it come the morning of Sunday April the 17th

GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM, AND YOUR TOWN!!!

SHOW SOME PASSION!!!

Can't really argue with much of that SS. I wouldn't say i'm ashamed but i'm certainly a bit depressed by it all. What people don't realise is the impact it must have on the team. To come out for a semi final and be greeted by 15,000 must be pretty demoralising really. I just hope that we can get over 20,000 but can't really say I expect that. I honestly can't understand what would stop someone going to a game of this nature, it's why you go in the first place surely.

Extremely embarassing sad.gif

However, I'm pretty certain ticket sales would be higher if the semi was at Villa Park, on the Saturday at 3pm. Regardless of that it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for crying out loud, wouldn't miss it for the world.

Further proof that Blackburn's not a football town, same old excuses (which will of course no longer apply if by some slim chance we get to the final).

Speaking to a Jarrow based Bar Code this morning - they shifted 33,500 straight away and a further 16,500 are waiting to enter some sort of lottery for an extra allocation they are hoping for.

I know Newcastle is three times the size of Blackburn with no other local teams apart from Sunderland nearby, but come on Rovers, anything less than 25,000 will be embarrassing and anything less than 20,000 will be extremely embarrassing.

I'll bite my tongue for now as it will only prompt Golden Boy to attempt to shoot me down again! ohmy.gif

8,000 down only another 22,000 to go then biggrin.gif

Seriously though as a Claret I would guarantee us selling 30,000 not a problem BUT the difference being that it would be our cup final.

Can`t believe the kick off time and venue. Heads should roll at the fa as they are taking the mick. Personally fed up with these people messing about with OUR wonderful game and expecting us just to get on with it and to shell out massive amounts of money along the way.

If, as we so nearly did wink.gif get in the semi, would have been seriously tempted to give them 2 fingers, stay at home and watch it on the box and save my brass for the final ahem!

Fair do`s to the ones that do go (come on you gooners!) but ALSO fair do`s to those that don`t (by way of protest/cost etc)

I can SS

You are on about people moaning - why don't you just wait until we see how many we actually sell.

The club told everybody in the first instance not to rush for tickets as there is more than likely enough to go around ; add to this other circumstances and they add up to why people are holding back at the moment (payday, need more tickets etc)

I for one have not got a ticket yet even though I am in the cup scheme and a S/T holder and I know others of the same, but seeing as we need more are waiting until we can arrange and make it easier re travel arrangements etc

I can understand your frustration, but maybe people are just heeding what the club has said for once - a bit ironic really - one minute we have people complaining its difficult to get a ticket and now people are taking their time people are going on about why aren't they getting a ticket.

Or maybe, people think it is a total rip off and are shoving two fingers to the FA and are making a stand regardless and risking us winning and saving for the Final should we get there (which is more worthy).

Agree with MB second point, but all in all it has left some people with a big decision.

Agree with OD as well re Villa Park, but have you considered how many Arsenal have sold at the moment - think you might find along the same lines?

At the end of the day, if the MS is half empty we all know who will be to blame and it won't be the fans.

Just thank your stars you have your ticket and you will be there.

Good post Capt.K

Didnt we have the same debate for the Burnley game? Came right in the end. Cant agree with our Claret friend. No way would Burnley sell 30,000 in these economic times. Football has changed massively in the last few years. Rovers will have a good and vociferous following and we`ll all enjoy the day.

I would have thought a lot of Arsenal fans are pretty certain they'll make the final and are saving themselves for that, wrong as it may be, lets hope we can ###### on their chips.

Coupled with the fact they get to visit the MS a lot more than us and are likely to do in the near future.

Good post Capt and I understand your point certainly re the Arsenal fans although with them having been in god knows how many semi finals recently I can understand their apathy. Similarly we can't be compared to Newcastle as this is there first visit to Cardiff and they are treating as their cup final.

I've no wish to slag people off for not going i'm just saying i am a bit teed off with the general apathy at present.

Well, the way it's going if the 17,500 tickets for the final is true, at least none of the "fans" who "can't afford" the semi but probably will want to go to the final will get tickets. A fact that pleases me strangely. (Faraway ie overseas fans exempt)

I reckon they would sell 30000 tickets Abbey. As would rovers, if we had been a nationwide club.

EDIT: in fact, as a lower league club, we DID take 30000 to Wembley, for the full members cup final.

Well 28000 to be precise.

Dont know if I have miss read that.

My thoughts at present are if we get to the final, then those who went to the semi, should get first option on final tickets.

Anyway lets not get to carried away thinking about the final yet. smile.gif

Agree MB, however I don't feel its apathy at the moment but more so shock and pd off with the FA.

At the moment I am not too worried about sales as I reckon we will sell over 20k - yes some will probably not go as a result of the time/place etc but the nearer the time draws and it hits home to some people I think we will get nearer selling our allocation.

In a way which I hope people can understand - I hope the MS is half full in a way (but not really at our expense more the Arsenal) so as to really smack it home to the useless FA.

SG, you seem to forget they took 185,700 up to carlise once.

(and Abbey- as for the 11,000 at home- you know like i do that they fiddle the attendances at the turf - it was actually over 20,000 laugh.gif )

If we pull off an upset this weekend sales will go through the roof.

The casual fan does not want to make a costly investment which takes up his weekend if he thinks that we don't have a chance of winning.
