With the impending move out of Ewood Park by England U21 striker, Jon Stead, rumours are rife regarding his possible replacement / replacements.

Names currently being thrown around include Newcastle’s out of favour Craig Bellamy, Chelsea’s Mikael Forssell, Porto's Benni McCarthy, Ipswich’s out of contract, Finnish Striker Stefki Kugi and relegated Norwich’s Dean Ashton.

What is certain, Mark Hughes is keeping his cards close to his chest, very similar to the days of Kenny Dalglish, when the first anyone knew of a signing was during the photo shoot of a player, after he had signing at Ewood Park.

Maybe Hughes will lay his cards on the table and reveal the Ace in the pack during a photo-shoot to launch the new away kit believed to be next Monday 6th June, prior to its release on sale around the 17th June; a month ahead of the release of the new home shirt.
