Last night was speaking to a bloke that had managed a large hotel in this area and quite out of the blue he said that the rudest sporting person that they had had stay was Steve Bruce! He sais virtually all the staff that he had had contact with complained about his ignorant and dismissive attitude!

As an aside this chap said that everybody else in the sporting world that he had contact with from the RFW through to snookers Steve Davies, Dennis Taylor Willie Thorne etc etc were superb and mannerly with the only other exception being Stephen Hendry. He said that on more than one occasion he had to request that Stephen Hendry dispensed with his habit of continually ordering Big Macs and eating them in the hotel foyer. I guess that Hendry's attitude might have been more shyness than ignorance but it certainly accounts for his spotty face! rolleyes.gif

I know- every time I've seen him, Bruce has been a gratuitously offensive and arrogant nasty piece of work. Its no wonder the porn pushers of Brum love him.

Dunn went from the frying pan to the fire in terms of escaping from Souness.

that article on Grainger makes me laugh.

People queuing up to state that poor old grainger will have to work for the rest of his life because he didn't make enough money out of the game to retire!

My heart bleeds! So he managed to play football and make a living for over 10 years - he should be thanking his lucky stars!!

And it wasn`t a few fans who were booing.

Anyone watching the game would have heard the Utd fans singing for Bruce to give them a wave.

The second he did, a monumental boo went up around the ground.

haha..................Dunn is said to have swore at Bruce as he was substituted - although, as per normal, the incident was omitted by Match of the Day. Presumably, it wouldn't have fit with the squeaky-clean version of football they are apparently determined to depict.

So after 19 games the Big club in Aston are on 13 points after 19 games. just to highlight how much trouble they are in I had a look back over previous seasons. Out of 12 teams relegated in the last 4 seasons, no team has had less points after 19 games than Birmingham do now.

Relegated Teams and points after 19 games

Norwich 15

Palace 14

Southampton 14

Wolves 15

Leeds 17

Leicester 18

Sunderland 18

WBA 16

West ham 14

Derby 16

Ipswich 15

Leicester 15

Only 1 team has escaped the drop in a worse position than Birmingham are now, and that was WBA last year. They had 10 points after 19 games and ended up on 34. I don't see Birmingham having a run like West Brom did last year. I think they may be down and out.

Upson limped off yesterday and is out for about 4 weeks.
