To state the obvious, you dont win games, if you dont score; and that was the difference between Rovers and Arsenal on Saturday.

Rovers went behind as early as the fourth minutes when Fabregas curled a low shot into the bottom corner from outside the box and Rovers went further behind when Henry made it 2-0 just before the half-time whistle.

With the game coming to a close Arsenal substitute Van Persie cut in from the right to score into the far top corner past Friedel.

Whilst Rovers contributed and matched Arsenal in providing an afternoon of entertaining football, their only failure was the ability to match Arsenal in putting the ball in the back of the net.
