Venue: Ewood Park, Blackburn

WAR! Ewood Park is under vicious attack by the ruthless Scum Lord, Ailing Ferguson. There are heroes on both sides, yet justice is nowhere.

In a stunning move, the Scum Lord engaged the services of one crooked man, Devious Poll, and together inflicted a crunching low blow seven days earlier.

The inequalities are obvious; three pieces of the evil scum’s attacking machinery, namely Lucky Saha, Horseface and Shrek, together with their pet Portuguese show-pony, cost more than Ewood Park’s team of gallant fighters put together.

In the heat of Episode II’s battle, a braided-haired ballet dancer made a sneaky attack on Ewood’s blonde midfield protector. Earlier, a snarling Yorkshire mad-dog too had, with the permission of Devious, attacked this oft-misunderstood warrior.

Other agents of this evil empire include an anonymous reggae-haired character, a barging Scot who got away with murder in Episode II, a shaven-headed Frenchman with a penchant for mistakes as well as a Brown cow. Together, they are herded by a psychopath protégé of the Scum Lord, who excels at inciting crowds and rants non-stop.

Now, a dark cloud engulfs Ewood Park as this evil empire descent upon the sacred turf. A site of previous battles, the Kingdom of Ewood is now ruled by a former protégé of the Scum Lord, Master Sparky whose passion and bravery is unquestioned by the people of his Kingdom. This was perhaps best epitomised by the Master putting the Psychopath in his place at his former hunting ground, telling him: “Too often you speak, F*** off you will”.

And now, with Jedi Knight Craig Bellamy still missing, a team of fighters fiercely loyal to the Master, comprising of a Kiwi braveheart, Norwegian Viking, Irish and Australian warriors, a Finnish renegade, the young English Padawan Bentley and the Welsh protector, must embark on a desperate mission to restore justice...

That was just lovely. Seriously though, how nice it would be to send this pack of prima-donnas home with their tails between their legs. If we apply ourselves as well as Wednesday night, cut out some fatal sloppiness (Tugay?) and have a fair ref it's certainly possible.

The thought of the 'dynamic duo' of Kuqi and Bentley reunited makes me shiver. I just wonder if Hughesy might shake things up a little by playing Emerton from the start and having Pedersen in a forward role. It certainly livened things up on Wednesday night, we looked infinitely more threatening than with the formula of hoofing balls up to Kuqi, who either failed to win headers or mis-controlled the ball.

Coming over from Dublin for this one, fingers crossed for some sweet revenge.

My prediction for this one is that Rovers will play a different game to the one we saw On Wednesday. It will be a lot tighter with the option of a point probably too big a carrot than the prospect of a loss.

Expect Tugay to drop to the bench and don't be surprised by a recall for the axe.

No point playing Tugay since he has no-one to pass to at the moment, so I would move Reid into the middle.

Time to make the most of Kuqi rather than have Tugay ping 60 yarders for him to lumber after. So here is the radical solution: since we have no-one who can get to the bye-line and swing in a cross for the Kuqi monster to attack, I would put Emerton on the left and MGP on the right so they can both cut inside and angle a ball to Kuqi's head with his back to the goal, with instructions to Bentley, Reid, Savage and the other winger to get in there for knockdowns and flick-ons. Panic a dodgy MU central defence.

We desperatley need a striker. Kuqi and Bentley just don't work simple as. I can't see scring many at all with them two upfront. Let's hope Bellamy's back in time (which is probably highly doubtul)
