That was all i heard too....

I must admit i was tempted to start the `twelve german bombers` as well.

There is no room at football for PC Behaviour, in the same way there no room for racism.

we can argue where the line is... but long live ribbing and banter.

Apologies for not sharing the Craig Bellamy story in today's papers earlier.

I wanted to confirm all of the small details before writing it on Sunday.

The best line of the after-match fracas [great word that] was Bellamy turning to Curbishley and yelling 'you're worse than f****** Souness.'

Now that really is an insult in the little man's book.

Interesting to see if he plays today.

Would be great if Hughes and Bellamy have a little conspiracy going to make him nice and affordable for Blackburn whilst dishing a little recompense on Wham for getting Neil and generally being lucky gits to be in the Prem...although lord knows what we'd do with ANOTHER top striker

sorry to go off subject here........but ive noticed that birmingham city are called 'big club' on this board.....somebody must bring me up to date......did a city fan come on the board and make a comment or summat.........coz i grew in birmingham and most of the sensible city fans (mainly the older ones), and yes there are a few ;), dont consider themselves a big club......maybe there is sometimes a certain pride/big headedness they take from the size of the city and the amount of fans they 'could' get in.......but like i said most of them are well aware that theyve never won nowt and wont argue to the contary.

Elwaxo, the fondly given nickname of "Big Club" stems from Sullivan's et al comments regarding Brum. They've continually made reference to Birmingham as a big club that deserves to be in the Premiership, deserves to be signing quality players, etc.

Personally, I love calling them that because of the inherent irony. I mean, how big is your inferiority complex that you need to post a story on your site that you agreed a fee with Newcastle for Craig Bellamy but that Blackburn were the only club that got to talk with him and hence he signed there? (That did happen by the way).

Wtf is `pc behaviour` when it is at home?

As for the `twelve german bombers` song, yes it is bad taste but it is also FACT there would definitely have been twelve german bombers flying by,and FACT the RAF from England shot them down!

ffs what is this country coming to! <_<

This came to my attention personally during the Savage saga, there was a few comments coming from the Birmingham camp at that time. Gold & Sullivan, Karen Brady and Steve Bruce all contributed, and also a few fans if I recall correctly. They haven't really looked back since, continuing their "we deserve Premiership"-campaign..

yeah now u meantion it.......i do recall a few things that were printed at the time......dunny said something about the bad blood between rovers and city in his radio lancashire interview..........but really....u can ask most city fans and they wont claim to be a big club............unless being in the top flight makes u a big club......could we claim to be a big club??........is all relative i suppose......

It picked up during the Sav campaign when Birmingham froze Sav out of the side (sending himto train witht he reserves for a bit). The basic summary of the comments from their management was, "why would Sav want to go to little Rovers when he could play for Birmingham." Which many Rovers took as a slightly and a "we see ourselves as a bigger club" Therefore as we marched forward int eh table after getting sav, and they were relelgated, it was a fun joke.

Right...so if it is factually correct it is ok? So if you went to the south in America and sang "60 years ago we would have lynched you" to a black player it would be ok because it is possibly true?

PC Behaviour, relates to being criminalised for taking the pi55. I dont advocate Racism in, but we have to have a laugh.

agreed eddie........im sure we all read with disgust the reports of the certain european countries fans abusing black players..and its not that different from abusing somebody because of which country they happened to be born in.......any form of needless national/racial abuse should be permanently kicked out of football.....

I hear heinze lost his move to liverpool, seems a really strange dodgy thing.

Man Utd gave him permission to leave to any non english club for £6.5m. Then the agent failed to mention the international bit to liverpool when he told them the figure. Henize has no release clause, the way i read it, so i don't see why he has any right to demand a move.

As i am not a racist obviously it isn`t ok :wstu:

There is a difference between fighting in a war to survive and murdering somebody because of their colour. <_<

Of course and one is worse, but they are both offensive. There's no need for it so why either do it or defend it? I'm sure that we're all capable of thinking up something that's much more amusing.

so i suppose you are going to tell me you have never questioned a burnley fans parentage neither as that is offensive too? <_<

Not quite the same for me.

Just to clarify, if you say all Germans are monkeys I wouldn't mind. I just think calling someone a Nazi and particularly saying "burning him with the Jews" or whatever it was is very offensive. Just the same as I think you have to be careful with something like world war two and talking about people dying.

When there's something violent or painful behind it I think you have to be careful.

Spot on my friend, it's down to how you take it when all's said and done. I think we're far too sensitive personally. oh and I am German!

As i have neither called anybody a nazi or mentioned "burning him with the jews" or anything of the sort i don`t see quite why you are mentioning it to me as i also find it disgusting.

If you call a burnley fan a b*stard, whilst you are likely to get a negative reaction off the majority, you may also find some that may be upset as well and therefore may recall said experience as being a painful episode (hypothetically of course depending on individual persons character !),so in effect there isn`t any difference at all.
