Jason Roberts looked fed up when he scored but I thought his performance was good.

The Fulham thing will be upsetting him, he would make a lot more money and play every week...so you can see why he would look a bit unsettled.

It will be back to the bench for him on Sunday, so you have to have some sympathy.

The trouble is clubs leave their moves too late. If Fulham had offered the top dollar earlier then there might have been a chance.

Still, tomorrow could yet see some more action.

But where do Rovers find another striker now?

No sympathy. He's well paid, we expect him to be professional. Your last comment sums it up really, its what's best for Rovers. If he wants regular games he'll have to knuckle down and play his way into the team, simple as. Thats the benefit of a strong squad.

Hope him and Benni don't become a disruptive influence in the dressing room, though I can't see Sparky taking any cra#.

It is extremely worrying that just five games into the season, by all accounts, both McCarthy and Roberts appear to be pretty unhappy.

Roberts could probably be replaced in close season, but McCarthy would be very difficult to replace. I'd be extremely upset if either were to leave right now - we have a great looking front line and it should not be disrupted.

What about the two sitters Roberts missed 2 sitters in the first half? Even 6th Choice Gally Would have never missed those.

joe cole reminds me alittle of bentley, specialy as they both scored the same kinda goal last season joe cole in the world cup and bentley against salzburg. think he would be a great signing but not out on the wing he could be the next tugay?

joe cole annoys me sometimes, to many step overs(when theres no need to), and he sometimes dives aswell..

i just think pedersen is lacking confidence to be honest, the old pedersen would of hit volleys etc, so i think its just confidence..

He smacked quite a few volleys in before the game during the warm-up though.

I think you can have sympathy - although I am neutral.

Roberts scored a lot of goals at the end of last season when he was fit and now struggles to see any action.

He also knows that there is a bigger contract and a better chance of a game at Fulham.

So he's a bit fed up at work and thinks the grass is greener...that would take in most of the population.

The reality is that there is very little chance of Rovers finding a replacement before close of business.

Have you heard anything about a shock inclusion in the England squad which is named today Nicko?

TalkSport seem to think it's someone involved in the under 21 setup.

They have mentioned Derbyshire, Lita or possibly Noble.

Would love to see Derbs get a chance, he's one of those strikers that could score in any game, under 21 or full international level in my opinion

With all the injuries it would be no surprise.

Bentley has to be a better bet than Milner, although he is far from the finished article for all of the hype. I think he could handle it and McClaren's attempt to kiss and make up suggests to me he will get his chance - possibly even today.

Lita is well-liked by the FA. But he has played just twice this season and only scored against Swansea.

Still, if David Nugent can get picked...

Rude to gloat. Not in a position too as Scotland are even worse at the moment.

Celtic rejected a stunning £9m bid from a Premier League club for midfielder Scott Brown - who cost them £4.5m two months ago. (Daily Record)

Do you know which club this is?, if it's true of course. From what i've seen of him, he's a very good player but £9m

Sorry, that was a knee jerk reaction.

Both MGP and Bentley used to be in the category of the opposition giving them one solid hit and that was the last you would see of them in a game.

This year, Bents has been a bit off colour so far but he's not been shirking or hiding.

MGP I am seriously worried about- he has dramatically lost form. Was Luton the last game he scored in? Volleys and headers which he was routinely if spectacularly putting away have disappeared and I simply don't understand why his corners are worse than abysmal.

He got booed off by Norwegian supporters in the last couple of Norwegian games for performances George Weah's cousin would be ashamed of- he was that bad.

They say form is temporary and class is permanent. The problem is MGP's form has been so bad for so long, I fear it is now permanent. He needs some sweet running volleyed goals and to use quick feet to shuffle past a couple of markers a few times to rediscover what being MGP on the pitch really should be about.

I think you need to refresh your memory my friend. I am pretty sure that Gamst scored twice in the home leg against Vetra!

and I seriously think Gamst have improved last couple of games, last night he put a lot of decent crosses into the box but neither Roberts or Rigters was on the end of them.

He was playing well at the end of last season too/ Gamst ahs been disappointing (again...) the start of this year in an attacking sense but in a way he gets away with it as he does the basics very thoroughly.

Its a shame we haven't got a player who can genuinely pressure him for his place, but good left footers are so rare.
