Oh god, Souness!!! That'll be absolutely perfect if they get him! I've been waiting for Bolton's demise for so long...first Allardyce leaves, then they appoint the assistant (usually a bad call), then he's off as Bolton spiral into misery, and then...Souness comes to chase off Anelka and Diouf!! I couldn't have written it better!

and who was the last rovers manager to win silverware??

Don't get me wrong, overall Souness had a good tenure at the club. But it's so easy to see him clashing with the likes of Anelka and Diouf. And I'd love it if our ex manager got Bolton relegated.

Bolton are interviewing a few, starting today, so it is hard to say. The three I mentioned in the Mirror today are confirmed runners. There could be more.

I would say that Paul Jewell WON'T get it.

On the takeover it's not Souey. It's an odd development, one I need to know more about before I share.

I have just heard on the radio that David Gold has been approached by 5 clubs for his money. Now that would be odd development !

Also just heard on the radio that birmingham have rejected an offer from notlob to talk to steve bruce. Given that the new owner is going to sack him wouldn't it make sense to get some compensation for him?

I put £2 on John Collins at 20/1. There's 12 managers with shorter odds though on Coral.

I've just had money on with Coral. I put £10 on Ukraine to win last night at 1/40 - winning me 25p - but in the process giving me a £10 free bet which has gone on Collins. BTW - if anyone isnt on betfair - you can join up and get a free £25 cash. I joined last week and put £25 on France to win in the Faroes - and got £25 free cash. Ended up with just over £51 in my account - all of which can be withdrawn now. :)

I was just using up the last couple of quid from my Coral account but I can't believe anyone wouldn't use Betfair for their bets these days.

Is this £25 with no obligation to bet any further?

You deposit £25 and when you have placed your first bet - they credit your account with £25 - which can be withdrawn instantly as it as betting exchange (ie. you're betting with other people not betfair so they have to give you the free cash rather than a betting token). I've since withdrawn £41.19 - and left with a balance of £10 in my account. So I'm £16.19 up in my bank account - and got a spare £10 to use on betfair - having only placed one bet on France winning against the Faroes.

As for people using sites other than betfair - the problem with betfair is the lack of being able to choose your own accumulators in my opinion - which is obviously very difficult to put into practice due to the way betfair operates.

its true about bruce being approached...

personally if i was bruce i would leave birmingham, he future at birmingham is uncertain...

if mark hughes ever happens to leave blackburn, i would hope we are linked to better managers then the ones linked to bolton..

Steve Bruce :lol::lol::lol:

A joke as a manager, Bolton must be in complete chaos

Yeah but Bruce knows that if he is 'sacked' by new owners, he will be receive quite a hefty payout. And even if does lose his job, he is quite a big name domestically (even though I don't rate him) and is sure to get a new job offer sooner rather than later.

As a young manager he's doing OK but I cringe whenever I hear him talking in pre/post match interviews... plus that 70s shirt he wore at Derby the other week was really embarrassing for all to watch!

You are kidding :wstu: , He is an absolute joke as a manager and as a man, a gobshite with the tactical knowledge of a pee. Look at the money has wasted at big club in comparison to our very own manager

Since you're probably up to your neck in the Trotters fiasco, any interesting updates there Nicko?

Steve Bruce is using this for all its worth. There has been no real approach, just a conversation between Gartside and Brady.

There HAVE been approaches for others and I think they will talk to the three mentioned in the Mirror today...and pretty quickly.

There have been others sounded out too.

It's a huge decision, if they mess up they could easily go down.

PS - The Hull striker signing is Frazier Campbell at Man U. Drogba said no...

I'm not exactly a betting genius but saw this and thought... free cash! Now I'm really confused. About to bet on Stevenage to beat Burton. For some reason I can turn the odds up. Why? What effect will this have?
