Correct. Found out he had admitted it on Sky recently, so I'm not talking out of school.

He signed Aghahowa instead.

Hmm.

to be fair, if he was a player on champ manager 03, you would go for aghahowa over any other attacker.....

Borges started, played till 72nd min, and got pulled for the guy who scored the last minute equalizer in this leg, and put them through 2-1 on aggregate. In fact Borges has played a heavy part of the throught he competition it appears.

Kendall did not play, seems to be more of a "youngster" even though they are both 19.

For those with long memories, who can recall the Costa Rican players who were due to come over...check this out.

http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfoot...ssfeed&att=

Their side has made the CONCACAF final now. No details of how the two players are doing, but this would suggest that their club is doing ok.

This is the UNCAF Tournament, or "mini-Champions League" of Central America

There is a separate tournament for Carribean teams, and the US and Mexican teams qualify directly

Saprissa in Costa Rica is essentially one of the top 2 teams in the country, and produce the most talent that actualy goes anywhere else in the world. (The other being CD Ajaluense or something like that). So if one of these two doesn't win, then it's major news. Sorta like someone other than Rangers or Celtic winning in Scotland - at least for recent history.

I believe Saprissa once made the world club championship in recent times, but the CONCACAF Champions League is still dominated by the Mexican teams, with the US teams quickly catching up.

I've just read the story again - it just doesn't have anything to it.

Makes it look even sillier when there is another story a few pages into the back saying that Sparky is talking about a new deal.

There's also a story about who the next Wigan boss will be - and I think that's wrong too.

It was a quiet weekend for stories, mind you.

God help us Nicko if this is true but Samba to Liverpool at the end of the season on a double your money deal?

Do you know if this is true?, im worried if it is.

I've not heard it, but the way the big guy is playing there will bigger and better teams than Liverpool in England and around Europe watching him.

But he is under contract, so it would take a lot money.

His progress has been terrific and you get the feeling there may be even more to come.

It's down to the lad and whether the club can keep moving on too - but at this rate somebody will try their luck with him down the line.

It's the way of the world...but better that that having players nobody else wants.

what utter tripe :!:

Liverpool in their current financial straits couldnt afford his new boots let alone splash 12 million on our Diamond of The Congo. They havent even paid the bill in full for Torres and are looking straight down the barrell of a champions League exit.

All the talk in the papers is about fat paddy mk11 being given 25 million to spend in the January sales, the truth is he aint unless he sells at least 5 players to raise the cash. Liverpool are bordering on a cash crisis as their income is seriously limited with 44000 crowds and have to find the 200 million to complete the building of their new ground, hence the recent rumours about their backers mortgageing th clu to the tune of around 500million.

Samba is not going to Liverpool in the next 4 years UNLESS they offer a massive massive transfer fee that Rovers could not turn down, and for me that has to be way over the 12 million mark.
