Just read on another board that Lucas Neill is out for 3 months, but it hasn't been confirmed by anyone at the club/official statement, so it may not be true. If it is, then Curbs could have a bad time this year, I've said it before that he seems to be signing really injury prone players, Bellamy, Faubert, Upson, Freddie etc etc and in going after Dyer, there is another one.

BY THE WAY...if this is right then your man Pleasure has just moved into the stratosphere.

thanks nicko, it's good to have you posting again (DONT LET THE JEALOUS PUT YOU OFF).

on cassano, i was sceptical he would move there, bellamy and him = fireworks.

so that's corluka, fenandez and cassano - the santa cruz medical and roberts incinuations- in the last few wks, BEFORE ANYONE ELSE! my sources must be improving.

i'm gonna document these..... so the next time MOST people on here say i'm always wrong... i can prove otherwise. :P

I saw Griffiths and the young Scottish lad Hodge in the reserves last week and quite liked them, but maybe they are not seen as future first team players. Griffiths has real talent and Hodge has had his troubles off the pitch but is an old-fashioned midfield leader. If those two were looking for football this season they would certainly get it somewhere on loan.

I also see that young Joe Garner is missing. I get a feeling the lad is on his way very shortly. Dundee United - as mentioned last week - want him and I hear they would even pay to get him.

I agree, Griffiths was head and shoulders above the other midfielders on show during that final.

I wouldn't be too pleased if the club let Garner go, the lad always scores and has the potential to follow Derbs into the first team.

no, just the adulation of the 'doubters.' (joking....)

Careful, you will be accused of being a PR plant soon.

On Cassano, I think it is a good idea on loan. He put some beef on last season, so you would want to be sure he was right physically and mentally. But I shoulod stress it is just a rumour at the moment.

But, at least you know who started that one.

isnt this thread lucky, two journalists on one forum..

sorry. i must correct you, mozzer. :D

i'm taking time out from journalism, on my 4th year out, and dont think i'll ever return to it.

whether people appreciate the info i pass on, doesnt really concern me.

they'll always be doubters... for loads of reasons.

The main reason being you were nearly always wrong!

i'd disagree, and say sometimes, :tu:^_^ but lets not go over 'old ground'.

nicko can probably explain my next point better, but football is an industry where lots of things go on, behind the scenes - and lots of things change and eventually don't come off.

i'm sincere when i say : the info i post is done so in good faith.

nicko..... have you heard anything about newcastle looking at diop and everton at kenny miller ?

i havent seen a paper/ website for a few days.

Your point about the ever-changing scene is spot on. I can think of several moves this summer that have gone this way and that. It is not a precise science. Every tip is worth following up.

Diop to Newcastle is a no go - just checked with his man. It was being pushed a bit a few weeks ago, but moved on. Fulham wanted N'Zogbia, but I think he is staying now - and getting a new deal.

Heard Kenny Miller story before. Will check it again now.

Yup, another good call.

Don't tell the Hammers if you can help it...but he will be out for six to eight weeks.

It was a training ground injury, a block tackle that went wrong and the word is that he may have damaged ankle ligaments.

Top info.

Cheers.

An update on Joe Garner.

Nottingham Forest want him now as well as Dundee United and Carlisle United where he was on loan last season

I think this will be sorted out in the next couple of days.

The other interesting part will be whether it's a sale or a loan. I know Dundee United would actually buy him. I suspect Forest would too.

diop is a good player, id like him to come blackburn, would be great if we could get him...i think hes the sort of player now that arsenal are crying out for, big strong and powerful, thats what there missing in there midfield..

fulham have bid rejected for lafferty aswell..

Also a bit 'large' off the pitch and likes West London a lot.

Fulham have been trying to move him for ages. He said no to Wigan in January because he did not fancy quitting his 'patch.'

I thought he was going to be great, but now I have my doubts. There is also the African Nations Cup to consider this season.

A bit shocked that Fulham tried for young Lafferty at Burnley. Thought he was injured.

Maybe our resident Lafferty expert could have some input on that one...

is it true about lucas neill being injuried then???

joe garner - i have never seen him play, but when i read match reports he always gets yellow cards, maybe a loan spell would be better for all parties, see how he does, he could be the next derbyshire...

The Franny Jeffers move to Sheff Wed has moved on. He met them, it went well, terms are agreed and he will play on Saturday.

There is a minor issue to sort out at Blackburn, but he is a long way out of the door now.
