Nicko - from a betting point of view - do you have any information on how bad the food poising at Norwich is? I heard 30 people were affected - but only 4 were players. Do you think its worth having a few quid on North End - despite what I saw from them on Saturday?

There are a few players affected by it, so much so that they stopped one of their players joining a club managed by a mate of mine yesterday because he might have to play.

Mind you, North End are a bit ropey just now. So 'leave that one alone' would be my thought.

I know its not the right threa and it probably deserves one of tis own but i'd go for Derby, Wigan, and Birmingham (the last one is just wishful thinking as i'd love to see them go down again)

i believe derby, sunderland and wigan will survive, but only just.

the reason i think they will is...... they all play a direct and aggressive style of football, similar to bolton, and could battle there way clear. the approach nearly worked for sheff utd, and these 3 teams have more quality, than they did.

for me, fulham, boro and birmingham - and a couple more teams- dont have those qualities, seem brittle at the back, and i dont think they'll score enough goals.

i also think bruce's, southgate's and sanchez's mentalities, tactics and their coaching methods are all suspect too.

i think it'll be the closest relegation scrap in years.

i agree with that pleasure.

i think that man city need a good start as well.

i think boro, fulham, man city, reading and bolton will be sweating.

might be worth a flutter on all three promoted teams staying up?

this is getting slightly off-topic now

i was thinking that, too.

seriously though, the only way boro would beat us 3 nil is..... if they sign koller and the axe is picked at centre half  (anyone who went to wham on the opening day the other year will know what i mean)

i placed a bet that fulham, birmingham and boro would the 3 relegated teams.

your faith in sanchez, and his signings, wouldnt have anything to do with ....... you being from northern ireland..... would it ? :tu:

Rover Groo being biased towards Northern Ireland?!? Well now I've heard everything!

As smart as your two geezers are, then you certainly have heard everything. Well, following the Norn Iron players on the Internation front (over the last decade and a half) with extreme pride, I am also very critical and know out of the squad who are able to cut it in the Premiership and the players he's signed with out a shadow won't disappoint.

Davis will weigh in with a few goals and a creditable number of assists. Healy will weigh in with around 10 goals and a few assists. Baird will also get a few goals, but more importantly both him and Hughes will be able to steady the leaky bucket at the back. As for Lafferty, he could do a job up front, but I would possibly question his ability to acquire a decent tally of goals. But mark my words, if Fulham have a relatively injury free season, then mid-table team without a shadow of a doubt.

Then when you've Niemi, Bullard, Camara, Queudrue, Brown, Rosenior (all of whom aren't Norn Irish) then it's hard to see why they are candidates for relegation. They won't set the league alight, but they'll be fine. Lads, anytime you want to watch a decent International team play, then switch onto Sky and listen to Jackie on our games or book a flight over to Belfast and I'll look after you, lol.!!

Right back to Nicko! So who do you see falling foul to relegation, top 6, title winners etc etc.

Hughesy. I usuallu stay in either the Fernhurst, the Bear or the M65 Travel lodge.

It's not a bad night out, I've not tended to hit the clubs but have staggered out of O'Neills at 3 in the morning on St. Paddy's day lol

Unfortunately there is photographic evidence that shall remain hidden lol

I don't live in a fantasy Pleasure, unlike you with your fictitious transfers.

Right, apologies for contributing to throwing this thread off course, but I've had my say!!

I'm an easy going person Pleasure and can take life seriously when needed. However as for you and serious in the same sentence would be a first. Although we could have....

Pleasure is seriously mistaken by his good source, again, lol.

So that rules out a wee trip to Belfast to see a decent International team play. Well I suppose thank godness for that, as there will be no suspicious lies surrounding the transfer of those players from Norn Iron! Boy our country seems to be safe at the moment.

Play nicely boys otherwise we'll have to take your toys off you ;)

I was deprived as a child, so don't have any toys Ricky. Thanks for the warning all the same, lol.

Judging by some of the comments earlier this news may be greeted with street parties...

Francis Jeffers is having his medical at Sheffield Wednesday and should sign this afternoon.

The fee is agreed, the wages too and the pay-off. The hold-up was mainly his reluctance to go out of the Premiership.

His debut is against Ipswich, which is ironic.

Good job Nicko,

I suppose this is the last time we'll see Franny in a Rovers shirt.

Sky Sports Link.

7-1 to score first on Sat.

Mightened be a bad wee bet at a £10er.

Yarm is a great place for a night out - Boro is good but a bit bloody mental - like the toon on speed if thats possible.

OK, from the top to the bottom

Man U - Liverpool - Chelsea - Arsenal - Tottenham - Blackburn - Everton - Portsmouth - Aston Villa - Newcastle - West Ham - Man City - Wigan - Bolton - Fulham - Reading - Sunderland - Middlesbrough - Derby - Birmingham.

Wolves for the Championship.

Oldham for League One [i hope].

Bradford City for League Two [likewise].

SPL is a no go zone.

Scottish One - St.Johnstone.

Scottish Two - Ross County.

Scottish Three - East Fife.
