Has anyone else seen Adams reaction to the Ince sacking:

“When I heard, I was angry, very angry,”

What a moron.

yes I read it and thought "This is a man panicking" Now Ince has gone the media will be looking for the next vulnerable manager. with Portsmouth short of cash, loads of players being linked with moves away, even by their team mates, Adams's inexperience in the transfer market and as a manager, he looks very vulnerable at the moment. His rant was a plea to his own board to give him time.

Not deserving of his own thread. He's from the same ilk as Ince - ex player, thick as two short planks, promoted beyond his intelligence and capabilities.

He's getting his own defence in early. He'll not be Portsmouth manager by the start of next season.

Don't forget Uni drop-out. Nick name Donkey - how do you get branded Donkey I wonder? At the end of the day until our coaching is re-evaluated and progression and development planned it will not change.

Adams however has spent a lot of time on the continent observing and learning. He has a better chance of cutting the mustard than Ince did, but his complete lack of experience will seriously hinder him.

If where we are is Incys fault that its no surprise that other teams in the mix want us to keep him...

Thats the key point. Portsmouth and Tottenham have already stuck there nose in on the matter. Im sure Stoke would rather Ince was still here too.

Tony Adams sounds like a dead duck.

The idea that we need to give young British coaches a chance is wrong, they have to earn there chances, Ince come here and started complaining within a week or so, which was the wrong attitude.

And there are many good young British managers about.

Owen Coyle , Mark Hughes, Craig Levein, David Moyes and i guess Gareth Southgate, to name a few

Its very nice for the Premier League and the Press to have Paul Ince as a manager in this country

However it is proved that, at this stage in his career, he is a luxury that NO club can afford.

Other clubs think it is a good idea for Blackburn to have him - they probably would not be so generous if he had been at Spurs or another club!

Why all the fuss about Inces dismissal, he was a no hoper, and has virtually destroyed us, but what I can't under stand is why he was employed in the first place, he comes over as a complete muppet and gets genuine young managers a bad name. I just can't help thinking it goes a little deeper than just a young manager being sacked!

I think that a lot of those managers that are commenting are thinking 'There but for the grace of god...' and there's a large element of self preservation in their comments. Also an element of managers union too... I do think they were hoping that Ince was virtually guaranteeing a relegation spot was taken so the last place was the only one to avoid rather than two. That could well come back to bite them on the backside, West Brom have recovered from bottom spot at Christmas before and they could conceivably do it again however unlikely that might seem right now.

Harry Redknapp also annoyed me yesterday with his comments about Incey's sacking. The only reason Harry got the Spurs job was because they sacked Ramos after around 10 games. So why doesn't he have a effin pop at his own chairman before having a pop at us!

I totally agree and also the reason why Adams got his job! The only reason Portsmouth hired Adams is because Gaydamak wants to sell.

So was the owner of that garden wall in 1990.

Tony "beautiful game" Pullis has had his two bobs worth.

Are these people worried about something?

Have you noticed how it's just managers commenting? No chairmen have come out and said that JW was wrong as far as I know. If anyone is well placed to remark and pass judgement then it would be fellow Premier League chairmen who understand the position JW and the club were in. So far there's been a deafening silence from that particular fraternity.

Tony Pullis has been gobbing off as well, saying is ridiculous Ince got sacked.

Personally, I'm sick to death of the media and football professionals jumping to the defence of that clown. He was clearly out of his depth and 3 wins in 17 would see any manager, from any club, being sacked. I was also very disappointed with Tony Gales interview the day Ince got sacked. Blinkered is the best way of describing it. Just because there is a dearth of good British managers in the game doesn't mean that any club who appoints one has to sit back and shut up even if things go ti*ts up. If Redknapp lost the next 10 days Spuds would sack him, and the London loving press would agree. Makes my blood boil. None of this 'he hasn't had enough time rubbish'.

There was a very interesting article about him in last week's Sunday Telegraph written by Stewart Robson.

He argued that Adams had set about becoming a manger in the right way; he had started a degree in management, he had indeed gone to look at other peoples' ideas on coaching and he had begun with a lower league club.

Then, he began to castigate Adams, who had not completed the degree and had left Wycombe when things got tough.

He also said that Adams was a motivator as a player by "being a chest beater" rather than a tactical genius.

I'm sure you'll be able to find the article.

Well Paul, here is your legacy at Blackburn Rovers:

- Took a team that finished 7th in the Premier League to 19th after 17 games, winning just three and going eleven games without a win.

- Sold our two best, and amongst our most popular, players.

- Failing to bring in anybody to replace Bentley, arguably our most important player and only out-and-out right midfielder in the squad.

- Failed to adequately address our pressing need for a quality right back, after highlighting it as your most pressing concern upon taking over.

- Bringing in such flops as Vilanueva, Fowler and Andrews.

- Splashing out £4m + on a 29 year old crock, who is yet to play even five games for the club.

- Crashing out of the League Cup with a dismal display at Old Trafford.

Anything else that I'm missing?
