I may have seen Full Metal Jacket, but I'm unsure enough to watch it again, and no never seen V for Vendetta even though it *is* right up my street.

Okay thanks for that I see your list now, Children of Men should go close to top of your list also. I thought that was a heady and rather well put together movie, of course the book was deeper.

I have only seen 108 of them, I was sure it would be higher.

You are quite correct.

That line holds special love for me though as it was used against me in boot camp. It sucked as I knew what was coming but still had to say "Yes Petty Officer!"

As well as the famous cadence.

registered for this as i'm usually the friend of my group who has never seen anything good. Was surprised to see that I had seen 47 films on the top 250, a pretty good number for me. Neat site that I'll def use again to help guide and watch some new, quality stuff.

Also, on V for Vendetta. I know this isn't everyone's opinion but it is my favorite movie ever. I could watch it all day every day. Recommend it to anyone.

I bet you're the kind of guy that would f*** a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you.

Apparently when Hartman came out with that line it was an ad lib, not even in the script, they had to stop filming as the place fell apart.

Anyone else seen 'Felon', very good prison based film, would reccommend it to anyone who is a fan of prison films or just violent drama's in general. Got around to watching 'Eastern Promises' as well, another good film.

Don't with some of it. Buzz Lightyear? But I am happy to see that many of my favorites are on there. Don't know about No.1 though, if the criteria were for messed up sociopaths, Jack for the Shining gets that every day. It was such a strange mix of characters but most verged into the violent genre.

Mel's character is worthy of more than #100 don't you think?

And where was Kurt's classic from Big Trouble in Little China?

Funnily enough The Shining was on Sky Movies today, had never seen it so I watched it. Brilliant. I never realised that the avatar someone has on here of the boy with his head in his hands is from that movie.

Tyler Durden is a superb character, massively memorable and as such probably has a place high on the list. I'm a bit of a cheesy movie fan, so would have liked to see Rocky and John McClane higher up the list.

Fair enough on LaMotta and Schindler then, I didn't see Callahan first time round....

What about Brian Cohen, Begby, The Princess Bride, Ann Darrow or Major Reisman

I don't want to be too harsh here there are some very memorable characters in film but Donnie Darko, Martin Blank, Jack Dawson and Marge Gunderson...please in the top 100

Well. I've recently ticked off two "I can't believe you've never seen" films from Frametracker in the last couple of days.

Tax Driver I thought was awesome and wished I'd seen years ago. Dark, broody, gripping, loved it.

Scarface on the other hand was a badly paced, overly long, shot em up with no real plot. Pacino's performance is excellent, but it's tied around something much poorer than it's cult following would leave you to believe. Casino, Goodfellas, La Confidential, Untouchables, the list of better gangster movies is pretty long. The one upside is I now recognize a lot of the references in GTA:Vice City.

I think next up will be Wall-E (because it's the only one left that I haven't seen, but I own).

I think his portrayal of The Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Prince of Thieves" is worthy of a mention, as it was pretty much the movies only saving grace.

Hans Gruber was great I just can't get over him being in the top 20 FFS. I know I sound like I am getting worked up over this a little too much but it just annoys me when fanboys flood the voting on these kinds of things.
