Roverinsider has hedged his bets by saying that the Smith appointment is dividing the "committee".

There is too much buzzing going on for Kean's position not to be teetering on the edge. I suspect Mrs D might actually give him the shove this time as the family being filmed at a game in which the stadium is in uproar about Venky's because Kean is hanging around would likely be seen as wrecking all the PR investment of the Pune trip by the players.

As for who will replace him, there is a name that has cropped up but I think it is far fetched to believe that he could be tempted to Ewood.

It is on the podcast 11.

I reckon Kean will be gone very soon whether this is before or after depends on whether they have a replacement manager line up and ready to sign within 48 hours of the Kean sacking!

That's bigger loon rating !

I don't think they would get rid of Steve without a replacement lined up... They would only leave themselves open for criticism.

Having said that... Can't see Ancelotti coming !

More chance of pavorotti

Lmfao Walter Smith, Big SAMs duller brother..... Wow the footballing spectical we will witness.....

If that's true I'm a Claret!!

Gotta say it amazes me that people still have this attitude. The last 3 seasons have been a study in how a club with the resources Rovers have, competing in the PL, can't afford to have a filter on only picking managers who play good football. We tried it with Ince and it failed spectacularly, we tried it with Kean and it failed spectacularly, we didn't try it with Allardyce and had 2 years of success. How many times does it have to be proven that we aren't a club that has the luxury of demanding good football in this league before Rovers fans will accept it?

O'Neill and Hughes mentioned on the protest thread, Smith touted as a Venables type of DoF figure.......all sounds good but I am never too sure this would be true after the transfer window and all the false dawns over Benitez et al. One thing seems fairly consistent with these stories, Kean will not be moved until the new person is in position and the deal is done. I also can't see what use Kean would be in India unless it was purely as part of a coaching team. Even at youth level in India, he'd be a pretty useless manager as he would not be raising their standards high enough to create a Premier League standard player from India.

706-29 in favour of sacking him now.

Very odd calculation arrives at 706 being 1%. Come on Prof Kean, dazzle us with your brilliant mathematical proof.

Sussed it .... Following his we do good against London clubs , he's checked the prostesters whereabouts and 1% come from London!

Somebody said on a previous page that they wouldn't want a Hughes type of manager, who leaves for a bigger club after a couple of years.

If our manager is being poached by a bigger club, it means that he (and therefore Rovers) has done well - it's a win/win.

Don't see many (any) clubs willing to take 'fantastic' Mr Kean off our hands, do you...?

ev·i·dence [ev-i-duhns] noun, verb, -denced, -denc·ing.

~That which tends to prove or disprove something; ground for belief; proof.

There's a HUGE cloud over Ewood at the moment and it's been building since Venky's plan for the club, which was part of the contract, was published. It talked of tradition, stability and respect for the history of Blackburn Rovers and the true passion of it's fans.

Since then it's been lie after lie after broken promise. There were rumours of outside interference/influences, allegations of financial mis-management and the general problems of new owners in a business they know nothing about.

However - all of this will be forgiven and forgotten (provided the club is run properly going forward) with just one simple act.

The cloud will lift completely and we will see the sunrise if Steve Kean is sacked.

Venkys have to accept the biggest mistake they made and put it right, for to remove a manager of Sam Allardyce's stature and replace him with someone for whom there is no past evidence of success and then continue with him despite statistics showing that fans, experts, ex-players, journolists and pundits were right all along (despite a massive period of grace from Rovers fans which many other fans wouldn't have granted).

There has been delusional behaviour from the Manager AND the owners but I suspect most of the information the owners receive is from Kean himself. Rather than alienate even more fans by talking of percentages of people who didn't go on a protest march, they should look at the apathy Kean has created by simply comparing last years attendances with this.

When 1,000,000 people marched in London against the war in Iraq, Tony Blair didn't then claim that 59,000,000 Britons backed the war.

So, enough of defending the indefencible.

In Steve Kean's season, it's now late March and we have 27 points. THAT'S evidence and all the 'positives', promises and claims are incidental.

Stay as we are and the evidence shows we'll be relegated.

Rovers insider is a clown. He claimed to be sacked then still posted crap.

My favourite was that we were doing a medical over the phone on deadline night.

I could see Venkys trying hard for a name like Ancelotti and would bin Kean in a flash but nobody of that calibre would come here I'd imagine
