  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Steve please stop this embarrassment on our local TV. It's ok for you, you won't bump into Dingles who will laugh and point at you in the streets....

Also was sat with a medical person who does not watch football, first words out of his mouth, who is that, he has a drink problem effecting his health.

I informed him it is us, the fans he is driving to drink!

Granada reports.

22:55mins in.

Apparently we're on course for the top ten.

The guy would have a smattering of credibility if he'd only been in charge this season, however, seems to conveniently forget that his PL reign of 29 matches has yielded just 6 wins and 27 points.

Top ten my @rse - totally and utterly deluded in my view.

He seemed to be trying to suppress a chortle as he talked his utter utter cr*p.This loony has now totally lost it- completely and absolutely. I think he really doesn't care anymore about Blackburn Rovers and is focusing on the Big Payoff. GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR CLUB KEAN NOW!!

Kean is lucky he's at Rovers... the media don't pay much attention to us so his unfathomably idiotic quotes don't attract nearly as much attention as they should.

I can only imagine if he was at a team the media loves - Newcastle for instance - and he was spouting this kind of absolute nonsense whilst they sat firmly bottom of the table. He'd get ridiculed out of every press conference, turned into an utter joke figure and laughed out of management.

Yet, because he's here, there are some people in the media still DEFENDING him. Staggering.

I can't believe his latest comments, and that he can actually say these things with a smile on his face. He does not care about the supporters because in his words, "The players are 100% behind him"

We are only marginally behind his forcast and very much on for a top 10 finish? Is he for real?

We are sat bottom of the league and not far up from us is two teams we have already lost at home to this season in Wolves and Everton.

If Rovers go down:

1. Players will find new clubs, as there is very little loyalty in football so a relegation would see many just jump ship.

2. Certain employee's at Rovers will lose their jobs in the cutbacks a relegation causes

3. Local business's will suffer from reduced income, some may even lose their livelyhoods

4,With the UK ecomony as it is, job losses will put certain people into poverty risking their homes, and way of life (After all most of us work just to have an existance and our disposable income gets spent on following our team)

5.Venkys will get parachute payments, but will still live in their mansions, live their hollywood lifestyle in a country where some people have not even got access to clean water.

6. Us supporters will still be here supporting the team as we have always done, but it will then be a club which has very little about it which we can relate to.

Venkys have said they will not let this team get relegated, Well its about time they stopped talking the talk and started walking the walk. Actions speak far louder than words and all I see at present is relegation unless the club acts NOW.

I can't believe 29 people still think Kean needs more time?

After looking at other Rovers sites earlier on, I also saw that these 29 are not alone, In fact I saw that some of those sites where a complete reverse with more wanting Kean to remain, and also having a pop at BRFCS. After reading a few more threads on these other sites I saw personal attacks on members of these boards and also attacks on me, which is quite ironic when they come visiting this site on a daily basis to grab any news they can to put on their own sites.

Its quite Ironic too that certain individuals who are trying to promote change in one hand are very critical of others who want change with their other hand.

I can handle personal attacks because my consence is very clear and I have never been one to wilt at a challenge, My only crime is my love for Blackburn Rovers and for this crime i'm willing to fight for it.

Apart from sounding like BS, this sounds like he has an Allardyce-style list of target results.

If we really are only slightly off target then he must have forecast a hell of a lot of defeats!

We have 5 points out of a possible 24. WTF did he target? Bearing in mind the teams we've played, that's a shocking admission.

Ok so according to kean we are not for from our target.

So let's look at with a top ten finish our goal.

Wolves at home our target would be a win (lost)

Aston villa target draw ( lost)

Everton at home target win (lost)

Newcastle away target draw (lost)

Fulham away target at least a draw (draw)

Arsnel at home target draw (win)

QPR away target win (draw)

Man city home target draw (lost)

So I make our target around 15 points

How many we got??

Maybe I am wrong but I think I have been realistic with the targets.

8 games--no losses? Bit optimistic I think

We should definitely have 11 points though which would see us well up the table. As it is Kean -----WE ARE BOTTOM!!

Nobody expected us to get anything out of the City game. It was more the fact that the manager abdicated responsibility for the performance and hid in the dugout refusing to make any substitutions that annoye dpeople. Just aas nobody would really expect much against Spurs tomorrow, but we'd hope to see a properly setup team playing to our strengths such as they are and doing their damndest to make it hard for Spurs. we don't expect miracles, just decent management.

Genuine question - how can anyone justify giving Kean even more time in charge of our club, when all he has ever shown as 'manager' is complete incompetence?

It's simple, if he remains here for most/all of the season, we will be relegated.

Agree with Glenn's above comments, particularly in how relegation would/will affect the local area.

A significant number of staff at Brockhall left the club last year, including the lad who used to fill me in on what goes on up there, as they feared for their jobs with the likelihood of relegation, in addition to just how the club has been run under the Venky group.

WE'RE NEARLY ON COURSE FOR A TOP 10 FINISH

Astounding!

This nugget is openly taking the p1ss out of everyone connected with the club.Tomorrow he will be made to feel about 2 inches tall on the touchline and it will be well deserved.

However, will it make any difference? Or will our owners persist in defending the indefensible? They should go on Finghting Talk. They'd win the final every week.

Reading today's quotes in the LT, I can't help but remember his quotes from last season about aiming for Europe.

Kean has taken the expression eternal optimist to a whole different type of delusion. Taking the positives? Taking the p### more like.

I only hope that he isn't given the opportunity to tell us how we are on course for the play-offs next season.

*shudder*

If we get beaten by Spurs tomorrow I cannot for the life of me believe that Kean will survive. It's already astounding that he's lasted this long. It will simply be unfathomable.

If Venky's are reading this then NOW is the time to act. If you sack Kean now and appoint a decent manager with credentials and experience quickly then they have a great opportunity during November and December with possibly our best run of winnable games. Keep Kean and all those winnable games are likely to be wasted...
