More apologetic crap from the BBC.

"Kean conducts himself with dignity".

"[Rovers] aren't too far away."

"[Rovers] aren't getting hammered every week."

They also implied that because Kean isn't a big-name manager, the fans won't give him time to turn things around.

Do I pay my license for this dribble? I'd love to see them say the same if it was their precious Liverpool or Arsenal rooted to the bottom? I guess we're only little old Rovers. Probably where we belong, eh?

Most of those comments came from Alan Hansen, the same guy who openly admitted during the world cup coverage he couldn't be bothered to research some of the nations and essentially implied their games didn't matter because they weren't well-known. Therefore his opinion on anything outside the "big" clubs and topics is irrelevant... and even with the big clubs... "you'll never win anything with kids".

Team effort of Colin Murray, Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon.

I think it was Murray who said the dignity bit, Dixon who said we were at him because he isn't a big name manager (he isn't any king of manager Lee) and Hansen who said we're not far way (from the Championship?).

They did also say its a results business and that once the fans are against you there's usually only one outcome.

Dont remember Hansen giving Hodgson the same backing after much fewer games and a much better record last season.

I just get the impression no-one in the media gives 2 hoots about us and what Keans record is. Time for the likes of Savage to come out and back the fans and promote the facts.

Some interesting stuff on Kean from El Hadj @officialdioufy.

Confirms Kean's alleged behaviour after Bolton, when Sam lost his job - surprised that it has taken so long to surface in public !

I'd certainly buy any stories about Kean plotting behind the scenes to take Sam's job, but the stuff about promising goal bonuses and speaking out fines etc. sounds like typical Diouf. This is the same guy who said bananas were thrown at him against Everton.

Feel sick tonight lads, i ###### hate the utter, utter ####. I saw his driver waiting for him outside Jack Walker reception around 6.30pm, wanted to stay and flatten the bald ####. I just pray we wake up to the news that he's gone. Anything planned for Newcastle? 90 mins of Kean Out will be great

Utter tosh, rubbish, garbage.

Very possibly you are correct. I was only recalling what had been posted earlier about a Fulham source, and when I saw Hughes' preferred team, it made sense that possibly something leaked. But possibly it's fantasy.

Personally I want it to be true, but doubt it.

Was told by an ex player that it is common knowledge that Kean was in India prior to Allardyce getting the sack.

I believe that to be true.

On 13 December 2010, after the sacking of Allardyce, Kean was installed as caretaker manager for Blackburn.

On 22 December 2010, Kean was appointed manager on a contract until the end of the season to prove his abilities as manager.

On 4 January 2011, it was revealed by Blackburn Rovers' owner Anuradha Desai, chairperson of Venkys, that Kean would be offered a new 2-3 year long-term contract to manage the club.

On 20 January 2011, it was confirmed by Rovers that Kean had signed a contract until June 2013.

For things to move so quickly they had to be pre planned.

Yesterday Roverinsider posted on twitter that there was going to be a conference call to India this morning. Looks like that bit of his information was right , this is an “unscheduled meeting”. However, I would still be surprised if Kean got sacked, but it could be a interesting day.
