  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

ok, ill explain my vote for him. I wouldn't mind his removal by any means , HOWEVER, if it means someone like Keegan, Walter Smith, O'Leary taking over then I would rather stick with him. I firmly believe we will not get someone like Hughes, O'Neill etc, they wont come, simple as. Feel free to slate me but as far as I am aware, he has the full backing of the players, until that changes I will back him...sort of.

I am speechless!

Surely that's like sticking with your abusive girlfriend/wife who makes you feel miserable and emasculated because you think you won't find anyone better...?

Many suspect that to be a figment of Kean's imagination. If whispers are correct, the camp is split with at least 50% having scant respect or liking for him.

Firstly, credit given for not only voting but giving a reason too.

However surely from your reason, the answer should be - sack provided we get someone better - which I dont think you'll see anyone disagree with.

Oh sugar.

I just +1 by mistake. I wasn't going to -1 either. Just wanted to see who had +1 before.

Total clock up.

There is usually some logic in a ''better the devil you know'' approach but not IMO in Kean's case.

Fair play for being brave enough to post.

Hahah, yes but that would mean Rovers having no manager and that wouldn't do us any good.

I'm not convinced, mate. Nelsen or Salgado could step in as far as I'm concerned. Fair play to you though.

Just given you a +1 because it's refreshing to see different opinions on here for a change, although you'll probably be shouted down. I don't necessarily agree with you as I think even the names you mention would be a better bet but fair play for having a different opinion.

Absolutely correct! I just don't believe that Oleeat, Smith etc are going to better for us. Hughes, O'Neill would be good, Lambert from Norwich would be class. Someone from the lower leagues might be an option, I think Dougie Freedman has the makings of a great manager.

Fair point, its a big big risk though. Even riskier than keeping Kean? I really dont know...

bringdunnback, gave u a minus because although i respect your opinion, i strongly disagree with it.

Understandable, I expect that most people will not agree with me.

I must re-iterate though, I don't believe Kean is doing a great job, I just dont think anyone will come to us at this time, we are joke at the minute.

There are so many things that are questionable surrounding Kean:

Did he back stab Allardyce?

His involvement with SEM.

His drink driving incident.

His deluded interviews where he spouts out meaningless statistics.

Why he persists with Roberts.

Having said that I do think we can improve under Kean, a new right back would make a world of difference for example.

A new manager who's smile would'nt make freddy krueger's skin crawl would be better

I agree it'll be very difficult to attract a decent calibre manager to Rovers. However, even Keegan and Smith have far superior track records to Kean. There's a world of difference between Kean and a proper manager, regardless of their past.

As for improving under Kean... well, it'd be hard not to improve, considering we're bottom of the league.

Of course players like Roberts back him.. new contracts, regular football when many of them are simply not good enough... etc etc... Plus any player who is seen not to fit in with Kean has been dumped instantly.

300 to 1 at the moment in voting terms, some minority.. madness not getting rid of Kean now... we have the chance to turn things around still, but instead we are sticking with Kean during a period that is essential to us for survival.. Norwich, Chelsea, Wigan, Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland, West Brom then Bolton.. that has to be the be a near ideal run for us to drag ourselves out of the mess but under Kean I get the feeling he will just teeter on the edge of being sacked, still not get enough points for survival but just enough for him to keep his job until it is to late.

So, two people on here have voted for giving him more time? Thats very interesting. Im not going to have a go at you, one must respect others opinions, specially on a FORUM! But I sure h*** cant say that I can understand you!

But Anyway, this poll is great and I wish Kean could see it. Cant be many Roversfan in this world who thinks he's our man...

I just hope WHEN we are relegated that Venkys get in a man who might have a chance of getting us up again. That is what we should start to worry about

:(
