Not sure whether anyone's posted this yet but its one of the best articles I've read so far on Kean.

That article is exactly how things are, read it Mrs D, digest it if you are capable, its the truth and everyone can see it bar you, written not by a Rovers fan may I add but a complete nuetral, as they say, the truth hurts sometimes, so address it, rid yourself of Kean before its too late, your own business is suffering with share values at the moment and the loss of a few more million pounds will hurt it more!

Why is it that nobody outside of the club seems to understand that Kean's record at blackburn is nothing short of abysmal?

Dougie Freedman has just said on the league cup highlights program:

"He's been under a little bit of pressure from the fans, i don't really know why. He's taken a difficult job there and he's doing really well, they've progressed into the quarter finals so he's done well and pretty much deserves a pat on the back as far as i'm concerned."

Oh, really Dougie?

Really?

P.30 W.6 D.9 L.15 Win% - 20%

Yeah, pat on the back indeed.

Just heard that. Goes to show the 'experts' really are clueless most of the time. You don't know why he's getting a hard time Dougie? He's doing a good job?

Been looking at his stats as manager since his first game in charge against West Ham and in particular how many clean sheets Rovers have had under his management.

He was manager for 23 games last season (in all competitions) and 12 so far this season (in all competitions).

Do you know how many clean sheets Rovers have had in those 35 games?

10 clean sheets? 12 clean sheets?

No, the answer is 5.

5 clean sheets in 35 games.

The games:

Jan 8th FAC 3 Queens Park Rangers Home Won 1-0

Jan 23rd Premier West Bromwich Albion Home Won 2-0

Feb 12th Premier Newcastle United Home Drew 0-0

Apr 2nd Premier Arsenal Away Drew 0-0

Apr 30th Premier Bolton Wanderers Home Won 1-0

There is no way a club can survive with that sort of record over a full season of 38 games.

That's pretty pathetic and is yet another realistic stat (not the drivel Kean spouts) which indicates we are in a major jam.

And someone call animal control. Robbo has to be kicking his cat on a weekly basis.

The lack of clean sheets by far is the most worrying aspect of it all imo. If you are a side battling relegation you need to pick up as many clean sheets as possible because sides fighting around there don't usually have the quality in attack to score enough goals to compensate for their defensive issues.

Anyone else remember the Derby 2007-8 side that was relegated in March? Their first 9 games:

Derby after 9 games - 1 win two draws.

Rovers after 9 games- 1 win two draws.

To be fair I think there are some positives from Keans time at Rovers. I think he has helped the development of some of the younger players I.e junior toliet , Lowe , Olson and Hanley. I also believe the majority of players are still behind him. Unlike Ince we have not heard anything about players being unhappy. Going forward we look better than we did under big Sam but this had been at the expense of our defence. I don't think Kean has got the balance right and Tactically I think he makes mistakes I.e. Being too open. We are just all over the place at the back and we will go down at this rate. Maybe Kean should have started off in a lower league club first before taking the helm at a premiership club. he should also learn to shut up and stop talking rubbish all the time. He does himself no favours.

Ince was a proper Manager. A bad one, maybe he'll be better in the future, but is was still a manager.

Kean however, is just a coach, or at best an assistant manager (he was at fulham was it??). He hasnt got what it takes to be a manager, and thats for all to see.

He is a coach, and he is apparently popular among the players, as Ive heard most coaches are. They are the ones joking around with them on the training ground every day and all that.

A manager however, keeps some distance and is well respected, has dicipline and can be angry when the situation requires it. Kean will praise his players up in the sky no matter how they play. And it seems like the players can do whatever they want - which obviously makes them very happy indeed - except the odd one who actually has some ambition (Samba, Hoilett  ).

Thats the way I see it anyway...

So, since the last poll, we had what most people agree is a rather positive transfer window and we've seen Kean's approval rating rise from 8% to 14%,

The first post in the thread. Interesting how our perceptions change over a relatively short period of time!

I never thought it was a positive transfer window by the way! :P

Perhaps it's already been mentioned but I caught the tail end of a Carling Cup round-up earlier where Dougie Freedman dismissed the concerns of the Rovers fan base, claiming that he didn't know what all the fuss was about, Kean's "doing really well" in a "difficult job". I'm baffled. Does nobody see what's happening at Ewood? Does nobody see the f***ing stats?

Edit: Apologies. This has been brought up already. Still annoyed me though.

You are only considering the typical English view of a manager - strict and disciplined. In business and footy the concept of management has changed over the past ten years. Ince had success at one team in the lower league before Rovers. Since leaving Rovers he has been a failure at every club. He also hasn't taken his coaching badges. They are both crap managers in their own way. Just want rid to be honest

Kean says: “If anything occurred I will certainly investigate it and speak with John Newsham, who is our safety officer, to make sure that nothing untoward happened.

Kean means: John hold that piece of carpet up I've got the brush.

Really not the person you want to launch an investigation considering the contempt he shows for supporters

Hmmm, I saw this from a couple of seats up. Essentially, after 90 mins and with 30 mins to go some teenagers decided that was the time to have a go at Kean. Predictably the rovers bench, having watched the 3 minute self destruction, were not in the mood for that.

In my opinion it was a stupid time to have a go and, whilst it doesn't make it right, I think I would have responded just like Clement by telling them in no uncertain terms to "go away".

It was a 20 second argument that unsurprisingly wasn't repeated when we won the game, it really wasn't a big deal.

As an aside, Kean knew exactly what was happening but I suppose this is no differe to any manager claiming not to have seen a bad tackle/penalty/sending off etc.

Can someone send the link to that article to venkys please?

As mentioned elsewhere (and something I've been told first hand) if it's said on here, twitter, vital or pretty much any part of the Rovers supporting internet, it's already gone to them.

The initial idea of the repeated polls was to track the rises and falls over time. However, other than a slight up turn after the transfer windows, it's been a pretty steady and predictable decline.

Kean says: "If anything occurred I will certainly investigate it and speak with John Newsham, who is our safety officer, to make sure that nothing untoward happened."

Kean means: John hold that piece of carpet up I've got the brush.

To be fair, John's not to everyone's liking, but tell him to investigate and he will, in immense depth!

Really not the person you want to launch an investigation considering the contempt he shows for supporters

Kinda ties in with the previous answer. John's only like that with supporters because it's his job to be. I'm sure if somebody told him it was his responsibility to keep Kean in his technical area, he'd happily get security to drag him back the second he steps out. We joked a bit about John's security measures in India, but he's certainly very very very thorough.

(This would make a good poll)

Here's a question for all:-

If Kean turned it around and we started winning more games, pulling ourselves out of the bottom three, would you get behind Kean or has he gone beyond the point of no return and you still want him out?

Fudamental issue we have is a NEW manager cutting his teeth at our club. This is in one of the most competative, hard and visable leagues in the world.

Yes people eventually learn by their mistakes, but in this enviroment the mistakes are punished 1000 fold.

BRFC and the English Premier League is not the place of study, it a place of work. BRFC Please can we have a Manager who can keep us in the position to which we have become accustomed.

My response was regarding Kean's contempt of supporters
