  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think?

A majority of 20000 are going to have to stay in the ground for an hour and/or march down the street before he accepts that a majority want him out? That is never going to happen and he damn well knows it.

Did a majority want Ince out by his final weeks? Of course, did 10000 protest, no.

"We've got a good group of players and they can put these type of things to the back of their minds," Kean said.

So why the rumours that protests were getting to the younger players?

"They're professional players and the directors have taken a stance.'' "That's great because we believe it's the majority of fans we should hear, and the majority of fans are supporting the side and myself - so the minority, the fact that they can't bring any banners is great.''

You may well hear from quite a few more come Saturday v Chelsea

"We're focusing on performances. All that stuff we've put out of our minds to be honest."

Mr. Unsackable arrogance personified

"We'll just be worried about what we do as a side and how we impose ourselves on top of Chelsea.''

I don't think Chelsea will let you impose on top and roll over like Mrs D does

"I think we'll go into this game full of confidence after what we think should have been back-to-back wins.''

Does he really believe that we should have beaten Spurs?

"We've only lost one in four and we've scored eight goals in the last three games. We now need to continue and get that clean sheet.''

Also conceded 8 goals in the last 3 games but nevermind that just continue as before and get that clean sheet as if it will appear by magic

"I don't think they will look forward to coming to Ewood because we're playing well and I think it will be a very tough game for them."

IMO Chelsea will be thankful that they have a visit to Ewood next game

What is scary is that those in Pune will believe this drivel from Kean. That's why we are screwed.

There's another thing which is baffling me, and that's the vote on this thread.

From 6,905 registered members on this website only 579 have cast votes either way.

Does the 91.6% abstention rate in fact mirror the apathy out there in the real world??

I think we've learnt a lot about BRFC in the last year - both inside the club and out. The most disappointing thing for me has been the apathy that you mention. We're sliding in to oblivion and 19000 people are letting it happen.

There was more than 700 howling at him in the latter stages of the City match and if things go badly wrong on sat, an i hope they dont, there will be half a stadium at him again you can bet on that.

I don't think you can bet on that at all.

"I think we'll go into this game full of confidence after what we think should have been back-to-back wins"

Is this man for real?!

We pick up one point in two matches and he thinks we should be confident because, in another lifetime, we might have picked up two wins?

To be fair the last home games haven't been that bad. I suspect if the players hadn't tried or we had been hammered the fans would have turned. Still think it will take him to loose the wigan game for the axe to fall. if we are 5-0 down to Chelsea the majority of fans will sing to get rid

I beg to differ Steve. Wolves, Everton, Man City and Spurs didn't do too badly at what was once Fortress Ewood. As long as they don't kick the ball into their own net twice like Arsenal did I don't think they'll find it too difficult

Honestly - I've never known someone to talk so much ######.

He comes out with so much manure he could give Fisons a run for their money.

He won't be here forever, though, and when he finally does eff off I think we should hold a party.

I reckon I'll know when he goes because the cheers around Blackburn will be so loud I won't need the internet or text messages to tell me. Perhaps they should have saved that bell ringing world record attempt for when he does finally go.

No doubt, Stevie will be sending this on to Mrs Desai - Villas-Boas backs Kean

Not really good news for us=/

Its nice to see managers back each other and I totally understand that, but its not really helping us right now, as when Mrs Desai reads this, the manager of Chelsea (and Spurs from last home game) backing our manager and saying that the protests is disrespectful and that we are heading in the right direction, its really not the thing we need right now, she will read it and think that the "socalled 1%" are wrong and that its right to give him more time.

It does feel like Im in the middle of some crazy movie made by David Lynch.....

what does villas-boas know about it? only been in this country 2 minutes and not exactly pulling up any trees himself at chelsea, if every kean quote of bullshit was worth 3 points we would be top of the league by now.

We'd have won the world cup by now mate!

Further evidence that Kean, IMO and that of many others, is a deluded clown:

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Blackburn-Steve-Kean-insists-majority-of-Rovers-fans-back-him-but-faces-protests-for-fourth-home-game-in-a-row-article826466.html

IMV, Nixon is as equally culpable and likely to be on more than one payroll !

The efforts of all Rovers' supporters on Saturday should be directed at getting this, IMV, incompetent clown as far away from Rovers as possible.

Probably just another indication of where 10% of people do 90% of the work.

**** a duck, is this guy now going out of his way to spout **** that will make people who's blood was already up violent.

I'd take anyone over this weasel as manager, we are going to lose against chelsea so i am not willing us to lose but when we do which is inevitable i want lampard and co to get 8, if 7 was the bull**** excuse used for binning allardyce i dont want this scumbag to have even the remotest excuse for still being employed beyond corrupt underhand financial misgivings at the club.

The Times today - pages 104-105, big interview with Steve Kean - some snippets below while you are having your breakfast!

Onwners rock solid behind me, there will be consistency in managing the club, not going to make a decision after 10 games

I feel we are making progress

The owners knowledge of football is good, their expertise in business is fantastic

Youth brings inconsistency, so you just have to balance things

Excited about the progress being made at the club

The thing is if I felt he was being judged on results like every other manager since the invention of the game, he could come out with as much tripe as he liked, his record speaks for itself.

However, I always feel uneasy when I read such interviews as he really does seem bulletproof- the question, of course is WHY?
