  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Yeah but things are improving!

I cringe every time I see a sarcastic post like this. Not because your thinking is wrong, but because I fear Ms. D's internet scouts don't use English as their first language and may not pick up sarcasm. Which means you may have been tallied as a pro-Kean post.

Talked to Venky's this morning, Kean still not getting sacked. Everyone is telling them to sack Kean now, I am told that this includes one very senior player. Yet they won't. Completely ridiculous decision which is going to eventually get the club relegated and lead to a whole host of problems. There is absolute no way of getting through to the owners who serious the situation is.

Kean has them by the balls & vaginas with his info!!! He MUST have threatened to run to the press if they sack him

It is the only logical explanation. What an absolute nightmare.

The only other thing I wonder is if they are being stubborn and trying to assert their own choices and not be seen to give in to the supporters. The thing is, they could easily get around that by saying 'now that the win % has gone below 20% and he is statistically the worst manager Rovers have ever had, we have now come to a decision that he needs to be replaced.' But no. Not Venky's. :angry2:

I bet that is Robbo, I have had the feeling a long time that he isnt happy with Kean and that he feels with the fans. Its shocking to hear how stubborn and ignorant our owners are, like you say its going to cost us (and them) our Premier League-status, which is devasteting! :(

I personally think it might be Salgado. He says one VERY senior player and is he not our oldest along with Nelsen?

Oh, good point. I wish somehow that the player/players would try and force Kean out - but I guess that is impossible, and no players would want to be in the media for not backing their manager, too bad for us!

Surely emoticons are universal?

I have also been told at least one senior has contacted the owners asking for Keans removal, however the board, owners are still split, this is despite them still actively speaking to potential replacements. Unless Mrs Desai rubber stamps Kean's departure then that man is here to stay

I presume she has a bigger share of the business than her brothers then? She seems like like the one with their balls in her hand. Can someone lend her a copy of Champ Manager? Even a couple of seasons running a team on there will eclipse her knowledge.

I think the Times article a couple of weeks back was probably quite accurate – it said there was a split, and difference of opinion, between some members of the board and the owners.

The board naturally want a change whilst our beloved owners are fully behind “their man”.

If this is correct, I think the time has come for those with any kind of substantive evidence of mis-management by either Venky's or Kean, to start to try and use this evidence strategically both in the wider public domain and with the media.

Unfortunately, I think the battle is currently being lost but we do need to win the war!!!

Can no one in India forge her signature and fax it to Ewood telling Kean he is sacked?

Her brothers really need to grow some balls!

It does re-enforce the notion that the Indians aren't running the show at all. Their continual backing of him, despite his embarrassing record would also point to this to.

Then again nothing that the owners have done has made sense they rolled into town.

Kamy's comments would certainly back up the comments I recently made and the points that several people have been suggesting. There is something going on at Rovers that hasn't come out, that is preventing Kean from being sacked. Venky's are very successful business people, so they know when one of the heads of their companies is failing at his job. If Kean were the head of one of their pharmaceutical companies and had performed as poorly he'd have been sacked. There's something which is stopping this from happening at Rovers, beyond the owners own stubbornness.

This is awful news for rovers and the fans. I don't think the owners are judging kean on results. so what is kean being judge on???

The owners ARE NOT interest in fans views or the club officals views either. even 1 player is telling the owners to sack him and they just won't.

Kamy, has this player spoke directly to the owners about his concerns and Kean future??? (wonder if kean has been told about what this player has said about him tho by the owners)

They were bequeathed a company that was so well formulated, only a bunch of buck-toothed moronic cretins suffering from an overdose of hubris could screw it up.

I see their profits are currently way down.

They're just getting their PR in, and in the process screwing Rovers into the ground. A price worth paying?

Having listened to podcast 14 it is becoming obvious that Kean is a mere puppet for the venkys and a frontman with some football

experience to deflect the flack from the venkys themselves.

Are they fit and proper people to work in the best interests of the football club ? maybe not.

They have just remorgaged the club against 2011/2012 revenue and all future revenue and arranged a facility of approx £ 100 million !

The thinking amongst those on the podcast that know about these things seems to be that with the interest rates in the UK at 0.5%

as opposed to approx 8% in india it would make good business sense to use this facility to finance their expansion plans for venkeys

outlets in Europe. The income from sky alone is worth approx 40 million, plus parachute payments of 40 million !

The point of all this is that their agenda is totally different to ours, they could well be using Blackburn Rovers to fund their

expansion plans. If this is true it would explain their lack of interest in even attending games, and their refusal to attend to

the urgent football related problems we are currently facing.

It is looking like Kean is merely a smoke screen to deflect attention from the hidden agenda relating to cheap financial gain at the

expense of the long term wellbeing of the club.

Maybe the emphasis needs to be placed on the Venkys continuing mismanagement of football matters and possibly more importantly

Financial matters. It may well take up to 2 years to check on the actual financial position, ie profit and loss and balance sheet,

the worry is that we could be in a dire financial position by then taking into account interest payments and all other liabilities.

Still don't fully believe that Venkys are the sole owners of the club

Your not the only one, but it's hard to prove such a thing in modern day football. There are many 'silent' owners in the top divisions now a days. Some owning more than one club. Big thing on CH4 about it a few months back. Biggest earners are the agents who setup the deals!

Absolute madness.

If there is now a player wanting his removal, i would imagine that others would follow. Once he loses the dressing room, it will be obvious on the field.

When that happens, the owners surely have no excuses left to keep him in charge.
