  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

This is the Kübler-Ross extended grief cycle.

Where are you? To be honest I've been torn between "Anger" and "Depression" over the last 12 months. "Immobilisation" generally happens a few hours after a match. Either way it's probably a load of old ######. Which maps nicely onto Kean's thoughts.

somewhere between depression and death.

Interview with Morten Gamst Pedersen. He was asked if he stood behind the manager, but he didnt want to answer that. Maybe the players are not 100% behind him afterall

The interview is in english, so you can all watch it if you want

Good lad Morten! A proper politicians answer there, he heard the question, completely ignored it, spoke at length about something else, then the interviewer loses the will to live and moves on! Good man!

Is that the first indication we've had that the players might not be fully behind the manager as we're being led to believe?

I've said a few times, with knowledge from somebody who would know and wouldn't have any reason to lie to me - the senior players are not behind Kean and never have been.

I can imagine some of the new/younger players would be, as they have played lots under Kean and, in some cases, don't know any better, but absolutely the senior players cannot stand Kean.

I know he is a pal of Big Sam's however, IMO, Neil Custis summed it up accurately on Sunday Supplement - Kean tries to be popular with the players by being easy on them, he indulges them to try and get them onside and they can do what they want.

It really would not be that surprising if that was the case.

Eye Keano I'm sure the 1,000's of our fans based in Surrey are bullying your kids at School.

You go to far with this, it's drivel and you know it. They've never been to a protest as you confirm but yet it all upsets them. If your so worried about your kids I suggest you do the honorable thing and not use them as a shield in the press.

If people can stomach all the BS - including the introduction of "school bullying" by saying he doesn't think it is happening. (Genius, Steve, well done) - then it actually gets better further down as the writer's cynicism comes to the fore.

I particularly like this gem:

"In fact, over the 12 months of turmoil, Kean admits he has never stood up to his bosses. “It is not a case where I have ever said ‘no’,” he accepted. “But it is not a case of saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’."

Is the Kean's way of admitting that he's a Yes Man?

EDIT: I feel compelled to add. Steve, if you are reading this then the part where I wrote "Genius, Steve, well done" is actually sarcasm (look it up). I don't think you've done anything well. Just to be clear.

weasel, scumbag, coward......probably what his kids already knew about him.

truly odeous human being...........and the story directly under this one on the express website is about Martinez saying he will resign as soon as he feels he can't help the club regardless of money and compo. Class act professional martinez exactly what kean will never ever be.

"most fans can see we are in a false position"

if he changed "we are" to "i'm" it would be the first honest thing he has said in a presser

If he references his glasgow upbringing one more time i'll go mad, always something along the lines of i'm from glasgow i've got fight in me??? your no fecking Begby are you, you snivelling coward.

Errrr.... if it's only a minority who have an issue with you Steve then surely you can find a section of the crowd for your kids to be in? Won't everyone be telling them daddy has the team playing "the best football we've ever seen" etc etc etc?

Or are you contradicting yourself to try and get sympathy. Hmm.

“I don’t look at this season in terms of trying to salvage something. I think we have a good enough squad to be in the top 10"

Hoisted by your own petard Keano. If the squad is good enough to be top 10, yet is languishing in the bottom 3, this makes YOU a failure as a manager.

Sorry - didn't you realise - it was the referees fault, no sorry it was bad luck, the wind went in the wrong direction, grass was too dry.

Tactics - aren't they little mints ?

My only hope is Clement - who seems in a short space of time to have addresses many of the deficiencies in Kean's tactics. Be interesting to see whether Salgado is any better today - when hopefully he will have cover from midfield rather than being left out to dry as in previous matches.

Kean: "We won't get relegated, absolutely no chance."

OH WELL THANK GOD FOR THAT THEN. CHEERS BABE, WE WERE GETTING WORRIED FOR A SECOND.

......what a f****** idiot.

Sorry - what the hell is he supposed to say ? He has to keep up squad morale somehow - though he doesn't half talk some *r*p at times - I think people jump on everything he says without thinking it through.

Are you for real?! It's not the fact he's come out and been positive, it's the way he's been positive. He's making a promise it is IMPOSSIBLE for him for keep. "there is absolutely no chance we'll be relegated"... do you really believe that? do you think thats a sensible thing for a manager of a football club who are 19th in the league and have only had one win this season to say?

All that will happen is, if/when we are relegated, which is looking wholly likely under this regime and management, that quote will be out in the press at every opportunity and we will (if it is possible) be even more of a laughing stock.

Going to the press and stating that we have "absolutely no chance" of being relegated is totally irresponsible, and in fact, "absolutely" deluded.

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!1

I hate this guy. He's a complete lowlife. How can he sit there and say what he does with a straight face? I love how when someone actually poses him a valid question, he starts stuttering and just regurgitates his scripted bullsh*t "feedback is good around the villages(?)/minority of fans unhappy/owners behind me etc." Also, what complete and utter madness to dismiss the possibility of relegation. I can't believe the flagrant arrogance and sheer madness of the man. 1 win in 11 games, Keano. If you think that's survival form, then you're off your rocker. Stop insulting the good people who support this club with your vile, craven agenda and get the clumsy, hit shift + 8 again!! out of here before you destroy BRFC for good.
