  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

I'm imagining Barry Venky sitting in a meeting room with a Glen Mullan angel on one shoulder and a Jerome Anderson Devil on the other. Nobody else can see them. Devil Anderson thinks he's convinced Barry but the arch-angel Glen uses the trident of hell's own wideboy to chase him out of the room. In an epiphany that he has finally made the right decision in sacking the imposter, Barry does a victory lap (in slow motion) round the table while others look on.

I'll have what you're drinking. I'm heading for the fridge now. :rover::tu:

We all know how that will end though.

"We have spoken to Mr Kean and he assures us in a month we will be much higher up the table. The ground was infiltrated by a couple of very loud individuals who expressed their minority view which drowned out the much quieter majority. We are very positive after these positive discussions and we are doing the right thing for the club. This is a positive step."

Sadly, I make you right.

Steve "Silver Tongued Dickweed" Kean will probably manage to convince the Chuckle Bros to give him a lifetime contract at £80k a week.

See this is what I was thinking about. After what happened at the end, it got me thinking that Kean/JA obviously just tell the owners all is well at Ewood, and that the fans protesting really are a minority (after all, the video footage shown does kinda back this up, no offence to anyone involved) Hence him coming over to us at the end pretending all was well, and then he turned to the directors box to give the raised fist ala Arsenal at home. 'Don't worry guys, we're doing fine here. Go back home now.' The brothers finding out he's been feeding them a line for months now surely must be the end for the cretin. Kamy has just tweeted now backing up Nicko's story too, so hopefully this week is the week it finally happens. I'm literally giddy at the thought of Nelson leading out the team on saturday, it would be a great sight (going of that rumour earlier).

Kamy just posted on Twitter that Venkys now fully aware of fan anger and rumours of Kean being sacked tomorrow. He stresses that we've all heard this a million times (most Sunday evenings and Monday mornings for the past 6 months in fact)and he'll believe it when he sees it.

Glen on Facebook also says he has heard a rumour of Venkys meeting with a manager's advisor today and if talks go well then could be movement on Kean as early as tomorrow.

Kean to face a grilling from the club's owners!!!

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Blackburn-manager-Steve-Kean-to-face-grilling-from-Venkys-after-Wigan-draw-article832843.html

Lets hope that Balaji gets rid of Kean this week and appoint a proper football manager

I posted something like this not so long back, it seems the owners have been cut off from information and are fed what they want to hear, I did wonder why they were due to come to the Chelsea game and changed their mind, maybe they were told it would'nt be the best time by certain people knowing there were protests planned.

I also mentioned the fact about banner bans and protests in the ground not being allowed to happen were not authorised by Venky's I bet they did'nt even know, dont get me wrong i'm not saying that Venky's know nothing about behind the scenes but i'm sure they are getting a watered down version of what is really happening at the club.

I was really mad that the owners just left but if they were getting heckled and did'nt expect the ill feeling it would slightly explain it, it also does explain their insane interviews on how nothing is wrong and everything is hunky dory, for hands on owners they are certainly not up to speed on current affairs.

I also dont believe that it's the owners who summon Kean to India, I think he goes over to stop them from coming here.

I really hope this is true. A real manager would vastly improve our chances for survival.

If the meeting is in London, does that mean they are leaning towards Curbishley? Any other unemployed managers lurking in London?

Don't get me wrong. I would take Curbishley in a second. I'm only trying to narrow down the possibilities, with such as Benitez in the Manchester area, etc.

All of this would make a lot of sense. And would be our best case scenario as it can be corrected, if the Qatari deal isn't happening.

It won't be enough. Squad needs strengthening and owners either get a grip fast or get lost even quicker.

The most important factor to improve survival is a real, experienced, competent manager. Once that key component is taken care of, in January they can, with the advice of a solid manager (not Kean!) focus on:

1. A right back.

2. Defensive midfielder.

3. A striker.

Dilemma for Kamy!

No dilemma. I don't know Kamy but from his posts I'm sure he'd pucker up if it meant seeing the last of Kean and getting a quality replacement in.

Entirely possible, though I do think it's very much a two way thing. Venky's haven't had the desire to put much time into the club, and Kean hasn't wanted them to come here to see what was happening.

Seems they've been woefully out of touch, despite everything... but now they've seen what's happening with their own eyes they have no excuses. Either they sack Kean now or we are finished. This is literally the last chance saloon, we CANNOT survive ANY more games with this man in charge, the points are far too valuable now to entrust to the novice at the helm.

Of course, Venky's could bring in somebody even worse... but then I think, who could be worse than Kean? I'd take Stan Ternant at this point.

I agree, like I said they should not be leaving the club to be run by people that dont have the clubs best interest at heart but I really believe they were clueless to how bad it was, I mean look at this line from the article "The Venky’s pair had flown into England on a PR exercise – after stating they would not sell the club" how disillusioned can they be? The majority of fans would have had them sell in a heartbeat and they are coming over to bang the PR drum.

There is no way it all adds up, I also remember the time that Jensen was going to go to India with Kean and HE supposedly backed out, they did'nt get on with each other and maybe he would have spoke some truths to the owners.

I dont buy this Venkys being out of touch business, they hired the Hunts to ensure they had some independent management at Ewood who would have surely fed all the goings on back to India?

In fact I'm sure there were rumours that one of the Hunts had recommended Kean be removed from his position after the defeat at City?
