I saw Iain Dowie in the car park at Wigan immediately after the match. He would not confirm in what role he was there. Currently without a club, and would not cost any compensation.

It’s an indication of how far we have sunk so quickly when I found myself thinking “well at least Dowie would be better than the deluded one” as I read that…. God help us! :angry2:

After almost an hour, no one has, so far, knocked this rumour back which makes it, IMV, more likely.

The guy concerned doesn't tweet much and if he was an attention seeker, I think we would have heard much more from him by now.

Maybe we could use him as a gargoyle on top of the Blackburn end to ward off evil spirits.

Twitter is the biggest rumour mill ever, it reminds me of those little scone and tea shops where all the old ladies sit and gossip.

The guy who has tweeted that he has been sacked as made 6 tweets in all his history and now comes out with this, very unlikely he is correct.

People are jumping the gun, nothing to suggest that Kean has been sacked beyond rumours at the moment, becoming pretty evident that something has gone on over the last 24 hours but would not go as far as to say with confidence that Kean has been sacked yet.

I know everyone is desperate for this to happen but please treat as a rumour just at this moment and don't get your hopes up. Also recently Rovers have been releasing press statements after 5pm.

Ian Dowie! Give us a break. His CV is remarkable! He has had plenty of relegation success. On SSN on Saturday, he struggled to make head nor tail of what was going on-not quite what a wanabee manager needs to be like. If you are going to change the manager at least have a decent one up your sleeve. Sven is still hanging about-and he is one lucky guy-maybe we lack that too at the moment-though the illegal corner, the eigh mins of injury time and lat pen suggest theat luck may finally be turning.
