That's exactly what it is. No doubt about it for me.

Name one beneift of Kean going to the press.

firstly, he's is a massive failure if sacked, sour grapes

secondly, it will destory his career

thirdly, Blackburn are not Man U, he'd be lucky to get a weeks wages in article fee.

Some bad news heard from a very reliable source just now that Kean signed his new deal a few weeks ago.

The club/manager, at this stage, wont release/announce this information.

So, Kean telling lies ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he say last week that it was off the agenda whilst Rovers in bottom three ?

IMO, the credibility of Venky's and Kean can go no lower.

Rovers_786 has tweeted me this

"Amit will email me or ring me later he just text and said there is a meeting happening with MRS D what does that sound to me is kean going"

I can not get my hopes up again, I am emotionally drained.

Until I see his head on a pole I will remain skeptical, even if his ass is fired I will still see his shade haunting the dug out.

Interesting line here from the Wayne Wild LET article - Steve Kean is reporting direct to the owners. It should be going through a board of directors.

This is a key reason why we have seen a number of departures from the club since the takeover – it is an odd way of doing things and I will let you work out which individuals have benefited from this way of doing things……

Amit is Balaji's personal fixer.

Guy with a pony tail and Wild Rover ringtone.

As for the news that Kean is staying and had already signed a new contract, is anybody seriously surprised?

Devastated, appalled, feeling powerless yes but surprised no- we are inured to ineptitude now.

As I said on the podcast, we are trapped in the clutches of a totally dysfunctional family for whom Rovers are just a troublesome outpost of a 190 locations business.

They are so split amongst themselves and removed from the realities that they couldn't even agree to take a massive windfall profit on disposal of what is now a rapidly failing business and escalating reputational liability.

The Raos are sadly archetypical children of extremely successful self-made entrepreneurs; they are a menace to themselves and anyone who has the misfortune to do business with them.

Scenario 3 is the scariest (well, after scenario 1 ...)

Think about it, the four of them aren't even inanimous in wanting to bin Kean. Suppose they finally decide in 3 months' time to bin him (12 points adrift by then?)

They decide to bin him. How long do you reckon it'll take them to identify a replacement and get agreement on that? Actually, stuff that, would they ever agree on who to use to identify a replacement?

They'll never agree on anything I don't think.

I also think Kean knows about a few skeletons in the closet and Desai doesn't want to put any more money in. After all, we're going down, so any investment now is good money after bad.

They honestly are a total bunch of lemons. We'd get better decisions out of a chimp's tea party. Probably be more dignified, too.

Not going to get my hopes up over this supposed meeting that 786 is tweeting. How many times has he been right so far? Does he even have credible contacts?

It is 18.00 in India and presumably the two brothers are a touch jet-lagged as well.

I know that they lead a late night lifestyle but whether that includes a second meeting about Rovers today is perhaps unlikely.

I understand they do much of their Rovers stuff at the morning family business meeting.

7. They are brainless clueless nutcases who bend chickens over and insert the venky into them. The owd hag knows as much about football as I do about street begging on a Goan beach! I've been there as many times has she's been to ewood! Once!!!!

8. Kean is banging her and she loves it!

My scenarios not the brfcs admin way.

Guys, Rovers_786 is currently banned lets not keep peddling his rumours and have him posting vicariously. He may be right but more often than not he isn't and it just goes around in circles.

So let’s look at four possible scenario’s as to why Venky’s continue to employ Steve Kean:

1. The believe in him and think that he is the man to take them forward

2. They want to sack him but cannot afford to sack him

3. There is a split, some members of the family want to sack him but other don’t

4. They want to sack him but aren’t able to get in a adequate replacement

If I was to guess, I would go for number 3 at the moment.

We need some more scenarios!

Please can we reset the poll as i'm sure peoples opinions will have changed since the Spurs game? :)

It's a pointless exercise now, the poll is overwhelmingly one sided which proves the point.

Plus people can delete and revote if desired
