  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

That's that then, Rovers will be relegated this season. The club won't see a single penny from me from now on. I was going to go to a couple of games during the christmas period and get some merchandise as christmas presents for family, there's no chance I will now.

In my mind there is no way he can have been given a new deal for football reasons, something clearly stinks around the club right now. I hope those in the media find the evidence they are looking for to expose it, no matter what problems it causes.

Thanks a lot Venky's, you stupid ###### fools.

I think we need to realize that brfc is dead until venkys are out. They have done everything wrong. I hope everyone boycotts all things that brings cash into the club. I hope every singel sponsor backs out, including princes trust. I hope every venky store burns down and i seriously hope there is one rovers supporter out there who is crazy enough to assassinate kean, Jerome Anderson and all venky siblings.

this is my favourite bit:

"And now the Pune-based family, who recently resisted a takeover approach from Qatar, will avoid matches until the problems die down."

do they expect us to just give up and forget about it?? news for you venkys.... we wont give up!!! and if it does come to the end of the season and that moron is still in charge and im the only one protesting then so be it!!!

COYB

KEAN OUT

VENKYS OUT

At least you have a choice not to spend money at Rovers. I was stupid enough to renew my season ticket. I wont make that mistake again. This (Kean's new contract) just shows how little regard fans are thought of.

shocked to the core, I thought this was the final straw, if they were shocked at seeing the real fans reactions how can we transport that fan reaction over to india?

we are well and truely relegated, no way we are going to survive with kean in charge, i suspect the better players will be off in jan also like samba and hoilett

Let's not panic. There is the barest possibility of speculative hope.

Consider the past, Venkys don't do their own hiring and firing. Case in point, they allegedly made John Williams fire Sam despite his protests. It is my impression that these people don't like getting their hands dirty. In other words, my opinion is that they lack moral/spiritual courage and prefer that others do the heavy lifting. Their job is to be relentlessly 'positive', even when reality does its best to beat down their doors.

Hypothetical: If they are going to sell what harm is there in giving Kean a new contract? It gives him a pat on the back, they get out of dodge without tears, they do the deal and the new owners then are left to sack Kean. The 'negative' vibes will be on the new owners karma, not their own.

I'm not saying the above is likely. I have no evidence for any of it. It is pure speculation. But I'm desperate and will clutch at any straw that suggests a Rovers' future with neither Kean nor Venkys in it.

To clarify, I don't hate Kean, the Raos or the Ds. But if saw them being horsewhipped in the center of town, I most certainly would turn, walk away and might even smile. I think contempt is a good word to describe how I feel about them.

I feel for the fans who have paid all that money out and made a strong committment to the club before all this major chaos appeared.

Gates are already down a lot this season both in regards to season ticket holders and fans who go to the odd game. If this news is officially confirmed more and more are going to walk away. I can imagine a lot will feel very uncomfortable knowing that their hard earned money is being used to pay for this incompetent, deluded and inept so called manager.

Have the Venky’s left it to late already (or are they on tract to relegate us?)

We have 26 games left, 13 Home and 13 away

We have to Play

Liverpool Home and Away

Man U Home and Away

Arsenal Away

Man City Away

Chelsea Away

Tottenham Away

Realistically we are not going to get much if anything from these matches (even if we were playing well, and had a manager who had a clue what he was doing)

This leaves us with 18 Games to get our survival points from.

Assume we will need 42 points to stay up?

We have 7 points; therefore we need 35 points from our 18 games

This means we need 4 points from EVERY 2 games (1 Win and 1 Draw)

Steve Kean has achieved just 1 win in 12 games

What do you think of our chances?

I fear even a new manager is going to be very hard pressed to rescue us from this hole.

Sorry if this seems pessimistic

So let’s look at four possible scenario’s as to why Venky’s continue to employ Steve Kean:

1. The believe in him and think that he is the man to take them forward

2. They want to sack him but cannot afford to sack him

3. There is a split, some members of the family want to sack him but other don’t

4. They want to sack him but aren’t able to get in a adequate replacement

If I was to guess, I would go for number 3 at the moment.

It´s obviously not 4, nor 2 or 3 for that matter. They wouldn´t have given him a huge payrise if it was.

It surely can´t be 1.

I don´t think you have hit on a believeable reason yet, Kamy.

if he really has signed a new contract, then surely that should be enough to tip even the none protesters over the edge!!!!,

although Nixon is the ultimate exaggerator when it comes to rovers, I'm not deny Kean has signed a new deal but the rest of the article just seems like his usual scaremongering to stoke the fires, so he has plenty to write about in his follow up article.

to say im absolutely devastated is an under-statement, never in a million years did i expect to hear this coming home from work, i have never known a situation like this at a football club, the venkys are THE worst thing to EVER happen to blackburn rovers, these people cant possibly live in the real world, i rue the day they ever took over our club, as far as im concerned we're finished, nothing and i mean nothing will make me support steve kean, no matter what. Same goes for those two-bit fraudsters in Pune. Every time i hear news regarding rovers its bad, my anger is raging out of my body. How the hell can an incompetent buffoon be allowed to sign a new contract, let alone have his clause taken out of it, these people stink, i would use words to describe them but i wont for legal reasons, we will never back down until every last one of them and their puppet are out of our club, i dont care if rovers win on saturday and i hope they dont, my love affair with rovers is fast coming to an end, these people are the death-knell for our great club.

What if they realise they've made a huge mistake buying Rovers, are looking to take the parachute payments when we go down then cut and run ?

This can only happen if we go down, and securing Kean's services will ensure that happens.

Must have been crapping themselves that we stay up and they have to invest eh ?!!

Why feel sorry for the fans? We're supporters. We support the club. Regardless of managers, players or owners.

I think he meant, people who have paid for the season, rather than feeling sorry for supporters in general.

regardless of being a season ticket holder or not, I will always be a supporter, but I am starting to think already about not renewing my ticket when it comes round to it, and pickign and choosing my games. I am very disillusioned with the manager and owner and although I am a supporter, I do not support them. I can still support Rovers without pumping money in to this ridiculous situation if it remains next year.

I was very excited about the Venky`s take over and what it could mean for the club, never did i imagine it would be disaster after disater, and then underpinned by more disaster. For me, the situation with the manager is not recoverable; the situation with the owners was recoverable, but I think they may have ###### on their bonfire if Kean signing an extended contract is true.

I`m shocked, dismayed, disgusted, speechless and just struggling to comprehend how they can continue to get it so blindingly wrong.
