  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

I genuinely for a while believed Kean to still be in his job solely through the sheer incompetence and negligence of the Rao brothers and that witch who run our club.

But it's gone beyond that now.

He's surely still in his job for other reasons. Reasons that won't come out until we're dead and buried. You don't have a record like Kean's or face the fan pressure that he has and still remain as the manager of the club if there aren't dark forces at work.

Lose to Bolton and he'll still be here. We all know it.

Kill the root, kill the weed. Venky's/Anderson must go.

I don't buy that personally. Unless you are at the ground you don't know how bad it is. Especially if you aren't a football fan.

The decision seems to choosing between protests or spending a few million. They seem to prefer the former.

The supporters can destroy Kean tomorrow night and make his position untenable.

If Kean was manager of Burnley, he would have been gone a long time ago.

Unfortunately, our supporters are 'too nice' (too patient, too forgiving and too placid) for their own good.

On Sky live tomorrow, the message just has to be got across loudly, clearly, consistently and from start to finish, irrespective of whether we are losing, drawing or winning.

It's probably too late now but if he's still in charge come 01 Jan., it certainly will be.

Presumably Kean continues to tell Mrs D that the protests have come to naught and he has the full backing of the fans.

And why shouldn't they believe him ? .. They never come to Ewood and haven't a clue as to the true feelings within the support base or the town.

I'll say it again... the only way to get the message through to Pune is for a mass demonstration on the pitch either before during or after the game.

Is that not a 1000 pound fine and a life ban?

NOTHING that the fans do will make a difference to Mrs. D, she battled and won against PETA, we are insignificant in her eyes, the only thing that could change her mind would be relegation costing her millions and forcing her hand into selling the club.

What a sad state we find ourselves in.

Apart from being smacked in the mouth or perhaps setting his Missus on fire in a chippy what more could we have done? Knock the Dingle stuff on the head will ya!

The sustained abuse he's getting is one of the biggest stories in football.

Any other club he would have long gone, so comparisons aren't valid.

I take it you will be there to give him hell too?

"I have spoken with the owners for 45 minutes yesterday. There was no suggestion of an ultimatum," said Kean. "We had a real good conversation. We are looking forward to the transfer window opening so we can try and get a couple in who can hit the ground running and make an impact."

pretty much

Hmmm ... Mrs D also made all the right noises about Sam we they took over. Most telling - there has been no public backing of the manager from the owners for some time - to be honest I think it is cowardly of them not to, doesn't matter our feelings but if they are daft enough to think he is the man to take us into the top 10 (it was Premiership and not Championship they were talking about ?) - they should publically back him.

What do you expect him to say? Most of his comments are rubbish and lies. Why do you think this is any different? I would be amazed if he still manager by the end of the week

Kean's phonecall to the owners yesterday shows exactly what's wrong with the structure at the club.

If the owners want to talk about the performance or transfers they should be going through the Board at Ewood, not directly to Kean on an informal phonecall.

Its almost like he calls directly to get his excuses in before the directors get chance to communicate to the owners on monday morning.

You wouldn't get Sir Alex crawling to the Glazers after every game.

Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but got the following from Teamtalk's report of the press conference.

"The Scot faced the media on Monday with his young son in attendance.

It can hardly have been a pleasant experience for the lad given his father was grilled repeatedly about Blackburn's plight, second bottom with 10 points, and the banner headlines in the local paper demanding that he is sacked immediately."

This shows what a despicable human being he is in the fact he brings his own family in to this and the only reason I can see for him doing this today is he knew he was facing a hostile press conference!

Its obvious - he's called in the brains of the family for the crunch game.

This is stunningly low, and shows what a snake Kean is. He will go to any lengths to protect his job and "reputation".

As a former teacher turned youth worker I find using children like this utterly discpicable. It's all a bit too conveiniant that his son is given this experience just as the press start to turn on him. What a pathetic excuse of a man.

So now he's using his own son as a human shield at press conferences?

Makes you wonder which other lowlife tricks the snake has up his sleeve to keep his job for as long as possible.
