Steve Kean gets charged for drink driving, and f**k all happens. Not even a word from the club.

Good to see Barry Bannan and Aston Villa using their brains..

That's exactly what I was thinking as I read it. Decent questions to start with which got the ball rolling, then the subject was changed. Awful.

Well, there you go. Steve Kean has just relegated us from the Premier division.

Not on Kean's watch? Surely not! He promised us...

What I don't understand is how the media praise him for sticking at it. It takes real dignity to walk away and accept you're out of your depth. Kean's simply clinging on like the parasite he is because he wants that paycheque.

Kamy on Tw@tter:

Northern_Rover Northern Rover

@

@Dansher1dan80 in light of what Venky's PR has said I would be surprised if he was sacked.

FUUUUUKKKAKJEFKHKFHDSHFHKSDFKHDSKFHKDSHFKHDS

Well according to a text that I have had from one of the PR people in India, he reckons that Kean will NOT be sacked.

A boycott of all home matches is surely now the only way forward

I think he will now be sacked despite what Kamy has heard from a venkys PR assistant. I would be shocked if he was not sacked. His position is 100% untenable. Keep the faith, reliable sources are saying Kean has come to an end. 4 points from safety and half a season to go with a transfer window. We are not down yet.

TheBig_Sam on Twitter classic.

As I was driving out of Ewood Park tonight I passed Steve Kean sitting mournfully in his Austin Allegro. It was a scene of profound sadness.

Our eyes met. Big Sam uttered not a word. Instead, I simply smirked. I flashed my famous smile as the snot oozed over his wretched face.

It was just like that scene in 'Grease' when Danny Zuko destroyed that **** Leo in the big race down by Thunder Road. ****ing beautiful.

KEAN EXPECTING TO STAY IN CHARGE

By Simon Stone, Press Association Sport Chief Football Writer

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has claimed he still expects to be in charge of the club for the Boxing Day trip to Liverpool despite tonight's 2-1 home defeat by Bolton.

The result sent Rovers plummeting to the foot of the Premier League and drew more vicious abuse for the Scot from home fans, who booed him throughout.

Yet he insists he does not expect to get sacked. ``I expect to be here on Boxing Day,'' said Kean. ``I would be completely shocked if they (the owners) decide to replace me, yes.''

It had been suggested a board meeting had been convened for tomorrow.

Given Kean was nearly dismissed earlier this month, it was expected by many to sound the death knell for his time in charge.

Yet the Scot insists there is no such meeting. ``There is no board meeting tomorrow,'' he said. ``I spoke to the owners prior to the game and I spoke to them at length yesterday.''

Kean insisted the venom directed at his was nothing new

.

However, Manchester United striker Michael Owen was amongst those watching to express their distaste at the abuse on Twitter.

Hundreds of fans demonstrated at the end, increasing the pressure still further.

And Bolton boss Owen Coyle delivered his own damning verdict.

``I do not think they have given Steve Kean any chance from the outset,'' said Coyle. ``They have their own reasons for that and ultimately, those who want to be heard shout the loudest.

``Steve Kean is a terrific coach and manager. All you want is an opportunity.

``We have the best league in the world, but we don't have the 20 best managers in the world, someone has to fill the dreaded places where no-one wants to be I hope he is given the time to do that because he is a genuinely nice person.''

Yet Coyle admitted he played on the anger before kick-off, telling his players if Bolton scored first, it would have a negative effect.

Mark Davies did exactly that after just four minutes. Nigel Reo-Coker added another half an hour into the contest, so it was no surprise Blackburn were booed off.

And, although a much-improved second-half display brought a goal for Yakubu, Rovers could not force another.

``I was disappointed with our first-half performance,'' said Kean. ``We never really got started and let Bolton dictate the play.

``I hope I can win the fans over but I can only do that by winning games.''

Kean knows the only side to be bottom on Christmas Day and still survive in the Premier League era is West Brom.

It is a long way back now, though, and the Scot's future will continue to be the subject of intense debate as owners Venky's, who were also condemned by the Rovers fans, determine Kean's fate.

However, veteran Spanish full-back Michel Salgado already knows his, given extended leave by Blackburn despite their chronic shortage of defenders.

``We have given him time off to speak with his agency because he won't be here at the end of the year,'' said Kean, who denied Salgado was close to triggering a clause in his contract which would automatically give him a year's extension.

``He has got a clause which activates after a certain amount of games but he is miles away from that.''
