  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

So even now, after 7 wins from 38 matches, having us stranded at the bottom of the league at Christmas, a position that only 1 team has survived from in Premiership history and after asking the fans to judge him after the last 6 'winnable games' where we have amassed a grand total of 4 points from a possible 18, Steve Kean would be shocked if he got fired?

It beggars belief.

Didn't he get 3 or 4 wins in his first 9 games in charge? That makes his recent record absolutely laughable-----3 or 4 wins in 29 games!

Venky's are making a mockery of the 'fit and proper' owners test. I don't expect to see Kean sacked. I don't expect to see them pay off Barclays. I fully expect this club to go into administration once they have stripped away some of our valuable assets in January.

+1

Maybe it was another poor choice of word, like 'forfeit'.

all the best, blackpool rover! :tu:

i gave kean several chances too. :( tipping point for me was the newcastle away game.

ive never felt as much hatred and resentment towards anyone as i now do to kean.

i humbly apologise to matty, 47er. you 2 were right all along and i wish idve listened to you.

That's very big of you. Don't think I feel good about it though, I wish you'd been right.

Surely they can afford to pay him off if they want to. They managed to find the money to sack Allardyce and McDonald, who were probably on more money than Kean is and presumably gave severance packages to Williams, Finn, Pincher, Goodman, Matthewman etc.

If they don't want to sack him then the only innocent explanation for this is that he is 'one of the family' and they love him so much they are willing to ruin their investment and reputation and a football club just to avoid upsetting one man. A fine way to run a business.

If they want to sack him but won't/can't then it begs the question of why?

Sparky until the end of the season? I would love it if it happened.

It would be awesome. It would unite the fans.

I want to go to ewood and feel jubilation when we score again, feel nervous when another team are near our goal. Last night I didn't celebrate when we scored, I just stood hands in pockets. Our club is a sinking ship and we are running out of time.

Had a bet with my mate last night that he will not be sacked before the next game. I still maintain he will be here as long as Venkys are. They have neither the money, nor the incentive to sack him. They are in a win/win situation here. Either we go down, they asset strip us and bugger off, or we stay up and they continue to get media coverage every week. (These are just my opinions and guesses)

Please let me be wrong. Let them do the right thing for once. My club is dying on its feet

Time for mass boycotts. An empty ewood over the xmas period and no business through the rovers stores.

Venkys couldn't care less about the club and think even less of the supporters.

The fat bald idiot can go to hell " I can win the fans over". If I met him face to face........ No violence but he would learn some colourful new phrases.

A campaign of " Any money going to Rovers is Paying the morons wages". That would make most fans think twice about spending a penny.

THEY HAVE RUINED MY CLUB AND I HATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. INDIANS AND KEAN CAN ALL %$*& OFF BACK UNDER THE ROCK UNDER WHICH THE CRAWLED OUT FROM!

OMG But what about the sensational Rovers Deal of the Day!?

Wish they'd stop e-mailing me that crap. The only 'deal' Rovers want for Christmas is Steve Kean out the door.

i was seduced by false hopes, 47er.

it's only right that i apologise.

how long before the media slags off rovers fans and has sympathy for kean ?? <_<

Wanting to give him a chance was reasonable behaviour at first. we knew nothing about him and had little expectation of him, but to get on his back at the start of his tneure would have been unreasonable. However, it was not long before many who were prepared to give him a chance (not support him, but not be immediately critical of every wrong move) realised that he couldn't do the job, and certainly it was unreasoanable to carry on supporting him last season when results started to show that he could not set up teams to win. He should not have been here at all this season - his time to go was at the end of last season at the latest.

I was salivating at the radio this morning listening to that alcoholic Brazil going on about how "out of order" the Rovers fans were last night.

I felt like a rabid dog.

Adrian Durham was the same on Talksport last night stating that Kean was never given a chance at Rovers and perhaps he would have done better if the fans had supported him from the off!!

Yeah, he won three games when he came in. He then got another one during that dreadful run we went on and then against Wolves on the last day of the season. So yeah, four wins in about 30 games. But he would be shocked if he were fired? It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

Lots of cameramen at Ewood now. Please give me the best Christmas present I could ever have.

Watching SSN it looks like they are hunting for Kean sympathisers. Some muppets fall right into the trap.

Like the old chap who said, "To be fair, it's not all Kean's fault, he doesn't have the right players"

These kind of folk really distress me as they are part of the problem too. They are completely oblivious to the fact that Kean uses them as proof he has the backing of the fans.

I was the same, i was actually expecting to hear people talking about how Kean should be sacked etc. Fairly annoyed that they all seemed to be supporting Kean and blaming the players

Seems like the media have forgotten last season. Where there were no protests or 20,000 Rovers fans calling for his head.

No idea why they all bypass his abysmal record and turn the blame on the fans. Are we not allowed to expect more than 7 wins in a year?

Alot of people said give him the summer window and a few games to get his squad bedded in etc, look where it left us.

It's a matter of time until somebody gets physically hurt, whether it be Kean (people have started tweeting his whereabouts), a player, a member of the coaching staff or a fan... the atmosphere is so toxic something is going to happen unless Kean is sacked right now.

If he isn't sacked and something happens, Venky's must take the blame for not removing Kean from his position and calming a hostile situation. They should be treated with nothing but contempt as it is for allowing this farce to continue, but should it escalate to something worse... it would be truly unforgivable. If Mrs Desai likes Kean as much as people say, she'd be well advised to remove him from his position before something serious happens.

Nearly crashed my car hearing him talking on the way to work this morning. Also did anyone hear the Trotter having a go at the Rovers fans this morning? "Couldn't hear Rovers fans supporting their team", well maybe thats because you lot were too busy singing "Kean Out" yourselves. Different story if they hadn't gone 2 up. They went quiet when we scored though didn't they? Muppet.

Keys and Gray on Talksh*te doing the same now with regard to having a go at the fans. The media have always loved having pop at Rovers, this is too easy for them. Any other club and the fans get sympathy. Must be some sort of jobs-for-the-boys network in the Sky media network with Kean, similar agents etc. Every ex-footballer pundit who comes on seems to know him in some way, so avoid putting the knife in on air. Any other inexperienced manager would get stick, half these people would have never recommended Kean for the Rovers job, yet are vehemently sticking by him and having a go at the fans. The comments from Coyle and others about us "never giving him a chance" are maddening, we did, but no one took any notice, 'cos they didn't give a rat's arse back then because us beating Liverpool weren't newsworthy, more important to concentrate on hounding Hodgson out...

Remember the stick Ramos got at Spurs from the media? Scenes at Boro when fans threw their season tickets on the pitch were never criticised also. Media feel sorry for him, he's doing it to himself. London-centric media at its best. Only one talking sense is Savage, sticking out on a limb sticking up for our club.

Made the mistake of reading some stuff on twitter, the fans from other clubs saying that "we're a disgrace" just beggars belief. Does no one realise how odd the situation is that Kean is still in charge? Number of twitter posts from other fans feeling very sorry for him...if he'd only do a Ricky Sbragia, and resign with dignity and gain some respect, I fear even the chance of him getting another job is long gone, unless its "football development" in India...

Last night and this morning were so bad I'm now starting to believe the conspiracy theories. Kean staying on to take us down, betting patterns etc. Terrible. Off to go and make my tin-foil hat.
