  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I've been a reader for a while and felt like making a contribution.

I'm actually a Rangers fan from Glasgow and I have no connection with Blackburn other than that I watch English football all the time, and I tuned into the game on Tuesday as I usually will do for a Premiership game if it doesn't clash with Rangers. I notice many of you getting frustrated by the support Kean seems to have from fellow managers and opposition fans, I have my own views and felt you may like to hear that not everyone thinks he is a poor wee soul being victimised.

To me Steve Kean seems an utter shitebag who got his way into a job by dodgy means and stabbed a proper football man Sam Allardyce in the back to get there. No-one gets a pay rise when they've done the standard of job Kean has unless something strange is going on, and the Venkys can't be keeping him in the job when they got rid of Allardyce so easily without it being because of underhand dealings. That Jerome Anderson has much to answer for.

I've been astounded at all this talk about how you 'have to feel sorry for him', I don't feel sorry for Kean one bit, he's making a mockery of a great football club and the excuses he makes after every failure are laughable, if it was so upsetting for him and his family then he'd resign, so I see no reason for feel sorry for this conman at all. I actually somewhat enjoyed seeing his treatment at the game on Tuesday, horrible man and the very worst that Glasgow has to offer clearly. I wouldn't wish him on any club apart from Celtic, and in his delusions he's actually talked about managing them in the future, as if anyone other than Venkys would hire him.

So hopefully i've shown you that not every fan outside of Blackburn sees you as 'digusting' or whatever words have been getting used the last few days, go on abusing and protesting until you get the imposter out of your great club. :)

Great post and finally someone else seeing sense :brfc:

Does anyone think we need to draft and release a statement on behalf of the fans regarding the game on Tuesday night? We all know that we were perfectly valid in demanding the removal of Kean, and we have a long list of reasons, stats and facts that back up our view. It looks to me over the last couple of days that the LMA and similar organisations have asked their members to publicly come out and criticise us in the press, as a result people are starting to believe that Kean is innocent in this and the fans "lack patience".

I really think we could put something solid together that really shows our point of view, and there are obviously people on here that have the right contacts in the media to get this sort of thing released as widely as possible. We must defend ourselves, we can't let the uneducated neutrals believe that Kean is the innocent one here.

Thanks for your contribution, as Rangers are my adopted Scottish club, thats even better for you to post, wonder if you as a Glaswregian, would have any background on Kean to help our cause, something is clearly wrong at Rovers with the ownership and Andersons involvement, I know times off the park have been tough at Ibrox and just hope you may be able to let us have some info, a PM would suffice, we have, as supporters of Rovers to do something regarding the state of the club at the moment.

Thanks for posting either way and make sure you stuff the Hoops and take the title again!!

It's very strange how some institutions, like the LMA, and other managers, all appear to be sticking up for Steve Kean. It's like there's a shady puppet master behind the scenes pulling the strings, getting everyone to show their support for the baldy to keep him in the job. I have no doubt that one of the lines being passed to the lady is that the professionals are all behind baldy and that we, the supporters, are being unreasonable.

I emailed the Chief Exec at the LMA yesterday, outlining the reasons he was getting stick and questioning why similar statements were not issued in respect to Liverpool and Sunderland.

I also asked him which organisation's are there that look after fans interests in such cases.

Surprisingly, I've had no reply as yet...

the party line for any fan who has a camera and microphone stuck in front of him has to simply be

"we strongly suspect he was'nt appointed for footballing reasons, more to be gratefull for a job he should by rights never have been considered for and to never question the direction (down) the club is going in"

You are so correct. The ''Professionals' are obeying their paymaster who wants shut of Rovers. Noboby will care where the cash went when we are in the Championship.

Incestuos. The BarleyStayingAfloat Premier League finacial backers. Toads. Their fees will be paid.

What is happening to Rovers, which will ruin us, will be used in future times as a business model - it's a get rich quick scheme. Compared to this Timeshare was so openly honest - you paid your money and lost it.

Ir is almost like there are people at the top - PL, Press, Media etc - who are turning a blind eye to this - but then I realise that we are just a small town in Lancashire, and nobody else cares.

Its not strange at all, who do many of the LMA employ as their agent?? ;)

has anyone down brockhall noticed whether mr kean has held training today or yesterday? no? thats because hes gone to spend a couple of days with family... erm, steve? theres a game in 4 days? i know this is far above your capabilities but dont you think you should be attempting to sort out that bag of crap of a team we unfortunatly support? no? ok your the "expert" and clearly know best! how dare we sugest otherwise! (im expecting a hand written letter now from LMA telling me off for doubting one of the leagues most talented and up & coming managers!)

this is fact... if he ever was run over infront of me i would genuinly drop my pants and ###### on his bald alchy head.

finaly, none of you fall for the "big name" signing ######. The club is skint, it aint going to happen.

Not often i get this worked up, but ive lost it today! rant over!

Thank you mate. :) Rovers are a club i've always liked to see do well and admired many of your managers like Dalglish, Hodgson, Souness, Hughes and Allardyce. I remember when two of my favourite Rangers players in Ferguson and Amoruso signed for Blackburn, but it never really worked out for either of them. I find it sad what Venkys and Kean are doing to you.

I'll see what I can do as I'd love to be help but not sure there's anything I could know about Kean that would help the cause. He was a no mark as a player as well so I'd never really heard of him until he came into the spotlight at Rovers. In the summer of 2010 he did turn down the chance to be Kilmarnock manager which you'd think would have been a decent chance to start his own managerial career, but were Venky's even in the picture as early as that? Doubt there's anything in that.

Would be really good if you had some way of investigating what the dealings between Kean, Anderson and the Venkys really are.

This is a classic case of the perpetrator becoming the victim.

The LMA and especially Moyes, Redknapp and Pardew are playing the psychology card. It's all about keeping him in the job so that there is less pressure on themselves, plus they will be rubbing their hands at an easy 3 points or cup run in the future. Make no mistake, they don't care 2 hoots about Kean, they care only about themselves.

Footballers and football managers are proving to be the biggest hypocrites around.

"Let's all support the Kick Racism out of football campaign" they all spout, until of course one of their own is accused and then they back them to the hilt, irrespective of the evidence available.

I find it truly comical that NOT ONE of these so claled experts care to mention hsi bloody record as a manager, its all about how disgusting us Rovers fans are.

Well le tme reiterate to Mr Moyes and co, Kean has an unenviable playing record of 2 wins in 17 this season, 7 losses at home, no clean sheets forever and a win/games ratio of under 20%, does that help you you FRISP.

I couldn't care less what any of them think, if they had Keans record they'd be out of job by now, simple as that.

The fans have been patient for 30+ games, watching cr@p week in week out, well finally that patience has gone, get the idiot of our club now

No doubt Makey the clown will be working on a master plan to stop Liverpool scoring, there is more chance of the pope getting married !.

I don't get all of this disgust at the Rovers fans at all.

Considering his record, his personality and the circumstances around him both getting and keeping the manager's job, I think we've been bloody patient with him!

I was calling for his head within months of him taking over, purely based on results and performances but the majority of our fans have given Kean a year to prove that he isn't completely and utterly useless as manager (which he obviously hasn't).

Not as if Steve Kean has ever been a good manager for Blackburn has it? Last season you'd have gone down if it wasn't for the points Allardyce got, this season you look doomed. He couldn't have messed up the job anymore than some guy off the street would.

So if the rumour is true then the 'master plan' is to bring in a big name past it player on huge wages and that will remove the pressure by the fans on the owners and manager? Absolute bonkers and the sort of idea Venky's would carry out. If they had anyone with football knowledge advising them they would have told them that it would be a pointless move.

Wonder which players we would have to sell to pay for this mercenary? After all we can't afford to play people like Salgado at the moment.

You think if Rovers are going to sign someone like a Guti or a Raul for example that fans will wake up one morning and say "Well we have (past it player) in our squad, Kean is a genius and who cares about relegation?"

Dream on Venky’s, jog on Venky's.
