  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

I've noticed there has been limited criticism if any from any foreign managers over kean. This is because in most foreign countries the Fans in essence own their respective clubs. If they want a change of manger that's what will happen, if they want a certain player the club try and make it happen and if they want to speak up about their club they get no criticism. It's their community, their home, their town and most of all THEIR CLUB.

That's the difference with this country and all this owners who think they can do what they like and people being roped into and religiously believing it's the way forward WHEN IT IS NOT.

So everyone out their this is OUR CLUB and we will voice our concern until WE get what we KNOW is RIGHT.

BRFC till I die.

This 'big name player' idea sounds to me as if Mrs D has won her battle to keep Kean in his position & this is their 'advisors' back up plan.

Talk about an absolute farce. As a team Rovers need 3 or 4 experience premier league players to come in & compete with the current squad right off the bat, instead, it looks as if all the transfer budge will be wasted on a washed up foreign player on a huge salary with a relegation release clause & absolutely no incentive to succeed.

Talk about clueless. Give. Me. Strength.

So if the rumour is true then the 'master plan' is to bring in a big name past it player on huge wages and that will remove the pressure by the fans on the owners and manager? Absolute bonkers and the sort of idea Venky's would carry out. If they had anyone with football knowledge advising them they would have told them that it would be a pointless move.

Wonder which players we would have to sell to pay for this mercenary? After all we can't afford to play people like Salgado at the moment.

You think if Rovers are going to sign someone like a Guti or a Raul for example that fans will wake up one morning and say "Well we have (past it player) in our squad, Kean is a genius and who cares about relegation?"

Dream on Venky’s, jog on Venky's.

Well every decent player they have gone for so far,(apart from Dann), has turned them down anyway.

Venkys need to invest in a severance package for Kean, thats the best investment they could make.

fed up of his injury excuse week in week out........CAN ONE JOURNO PLEASE PRESS HIM ON WHY BRUNO AND MYLES WHERE SIGNED I.E. A RB AND A LB and if it was all above board why are lowe and pedersen out of position giving you the excuse that due to injuries you are playing players out of position.

Can not stand how he did'nt give one straight answer in the post match presser, no matter the question the answer was "if i had last years back 4 and we look forward to january i'm a fighter"........journo could have asked what he had for breakfast and would have got the owners back me i'm a fighter we look forward to january, pisses me off that journos don't interupt answers to get a straight answer and allow how to off topic spew his propaganda.

if kean had have been honest from the start none of this would have come about. he shouldnt always defend venkys but he is so desperate to be the manager he takes all the flack. this just shows how incapable he is and he will never be a manager because of this. he was promised the world from venkys and they really did the dodgy on him and the fans. from what i hear he has to do more than just manage the team and even if fertiliser needs ordering he has to sign for it. everything goes through kean. no real manager would stand for this.

avram grant was a very poor manager at pompey but was forgiven due to him being honest about what was going on behind the scenes. if kean had anything about him he would have done the same. kean has brought a lot of this on himself. i do believe he is very hard working and puts everything into what he does but he just isnt good at his job. if he resigned tomorrow and did it with dignity and said he wasnt up to the job i would have a lot more respect for him.

his inability to change tactics really rile me as 4231 isnt working but he does the same every week. he has spent around 21m since taking charge as well and apart from yak they have all been terrible.

even if kean is in charge for the stoke game we need to change our aproach. every banner, every chant all our frustrations need to be turned to venkys. they are the ones ruining our club. steve kean is a symptom of their disease.

I find it truly comical that NOT ONE of these so claled experts care to mention hsi bloody record as a manager, its all about how disgusting us Rovers fans are.

Well le tme reiterate to Mr Moyes and co, Kean has an unenviable playing record of 2 wins in 17 this season, 7 losses at home, no clean sheets forever and a win/games ratio of under 20%, does that help you you FRISP.

LMA, Moyes, Redknapp, Owen, Roberts etc etc need to shut t f up and remember who pays their over inflated wages. Like so many on the Prem gravy train they have completely lost touch with all reallity.

To insult 20,000 fans of a club which was founder member of both the football league and the Premier League, fans who have never been known to have protested to this level in their history is absolutely dreadful.

If they care to think hard enough they will surely know that our fans have much more in common with their own fans than they will ever have with them and to criticise and condemn us is to do the same to their own supporters.

They're just planting a seed to create hope. And hope is a strong thing, it will ease the pressure off Kean and Venky's for a little while. Or at least so they think. Our net spending will be zip in January, just like it was in the summer window.

I think that is very much spot on Im afraid!

Let us not be distracted by silly news about so called big name signings. That has only been to create hope and trying to buy more time.

Probably not going to happen.

If we buy anyone in january, it will only be unproven Non-PL-players.

it doesnt matter who we buy. we could sign rooney and we would still go down

for those who didnt see it or know anything about it, this could be an eye opener on what is happening. it was on about 5-6 months ago.

And no charges were brought against Robson.............we don't have a hope.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what other managers have said. They won't have volunteered it, journos will have asked them a direct question and they will answered it in the most politic way - which is to defend the manager. News orchestrating the news as they wish.

not sure if any of you guys are on here but its full of fans from around the world. share your views and add to the list. curious to see what fans think instead of pundits

http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/0/1269779.page#11904315

in fact dont bother. everyone is voting that we are out of order

how do you feel about rovers fans actions against steve kean

good to see fans coming together for their club they love 14% [ 3 ]

out of order 86% [ 18 ]

Total Votes : 21

This just proves how fans from other clubs do not understand the full issues that are affecting our club.

If they knew all the facts and had lived as a rovers fan for the last 12 months then they would understand what the fans are protesting for.

But they only know what the media tells them. Also that forum contains a lot of non english members who will only know soundbites of the situation.

They've done it all the way through. Lies. 'He needs 4 points from the next two games' for example, we didnt get any, hes still here. 'they all want him out bar one', 'they were going to sell but one of them blocked it', it's always one of them that prevents any act of common sense taking place. How convenient.

Oh and has anyone else noticed that the rays of hope and light at the end of the tunnel normally perpetuate from Alan Nixon?

Meanwhile David Moyes has just disappointed me immensely on SSN. Tell you what David, what are you going to say when we're in administration? A cruel man would say that you'd prefer Kean kept his job, only two other relegation places to worry about then, same with Coyle, or maybe it's ignorance? Nah, come on, you know what's going on at BRFC fellas.

We're being hung out to dry and the football world doesn't give a damn. Still no word from the club. silence. Unbelievable. There will be a riot soon, someone will have a pop at him. I'd sooner it was the 'owners' but we'll not see them again. Kean has some bottle I'll give him that, how he stands there and takes it I'll never know. Then again he clearly doesn't give a flying damn about my hobby, our club, if he did he would have resigned months ago. 'I tried it, I'm more suited to being a Coach if I'm honest' - who would have minded that? Fair play to him.

Now though? It's corrupt, as suspected as soon as Myles was signed, JW left and arguably when they potted Big Sam.

Come on Henry Winter et al, step up to the plate and take this shower to task. Please.

Moyes sticks the boot in our fans...anyone else for a kick while we're down on the floor?

No mention of his awful record, his lies and disrespect of the fans.....so angry,we are being made to look the guilty party.

:angry2:

Amazing how not one of them question how he got the job in the first place - from a manager with a reasonable record at the time. Does Moyes never wonder how Big Sam was sacked after a couple of defeats - whereas it would appear Kean can lose as many as he wants.

None of them seem to understand the background to the fans reaction - Venky's have put Kean out to dry - there is nobody else for the fans to direct their anger at the way the club is currently being run. To be honest I have little sympathy for him - as it would appear that it was him that marginalised John Williams and help create this situation by going direct to the owners in the first place.

Come on Henry Winter or Nicko - you know the background - lets have a full expose of the problems at the club and the background to the fans anger - rather than just media sound bites from people who have no idea of what the fans have been put through.

Feel free to stay the hell away in future you ginger tosser. I imagine the point of being there in the first place was to scout each team so perhaps the Everton fans should ask questions of their own manager for leaving after 45 minutes?

Opinionated arse like the likes of Redknapp.

the poll i put on ea forums are massivly in favour of us being out of order but theres a few rovers fans joined in the debate. there is the odd fan defending us from other clubs

I'm really not fussed what other fans think of us, we're doing what's right, we're doing what's best for this great club!
