Think this one might be pretty straight forward considering one player got 4 goals, the first for Rovers since Garner in 86 I think someone said?

Or did you think someone else deserved a mention?

No doubt Yakubu will get pretty much all the votes, but I feel Gael Givet was a star today. Pretty much epitomised by a lung bursting run at the end to keep the ball from going out for a throw in, and then winning a corner. Added to an assist and a solid defensive display, I felt it deserved a mention and probably 0.1% of the vote.

Vukcevic deserves a mention too.

Dunny all the way

To the pie shop.

Has to be Yakubu - 4 goals in one Premiership game is an amazing feat and one we've never seen before at Ewood, even with the likes of Shearer, McCarthy and Bellamy around.

Givet did do well, as did Simon - though on the flipside I thought Hoilett looked uninterested again and, although I am a big fan, Robbo probably should have saved their 2nd.

I voted Yak, obviously, but the player who is improving every game to me is Formica.

How come The People label him as "Blackburn flop Formica"?

I certainly hope he stays with us and doesn't go back to Argentina in January.

Cant find a thread for him, but Mauro Formica played excellent on Saturday. I spent a lot of time watching him, his work rate was sublime, he always made himself available for the ball and he was very creative. I'm a massive fan, so im rating him MOTM.

I was thinking about his performance yesterday too and think he did very well also.

Him and Rochina dont look like bad signings to me. And the Yak is proving a real bargain!

Him and Rochina dont look like bad signings to me.

Kean said in the LET phone-in podcast that Kentaro had control of transfers in January, but that since then he's been the one choosing players.

Jerome Anderson has done a better job than Kean at identifying players; Jermaine Jones was a good one as well. Obviously the problem is that he charges handsomely to do work that a competent manager should be able to do.

Yakubu has probably repaid his measly fee already as we definitely would be cut off from the pack without his goals. The rest of Kean's signings have made little positive impact, and Dann looks a colossal waste of money.

I think we saw the importance of Samba today when back in the team! Then Givet played well amd of course our 4 goal star Yakubu, long may it continue but two players who blossomed this game was Mauro Formica and Simon Vukcevic....great performerances from both and this is just what we need. You have to remember that Simon played with an nasty mask the whole game.
