baz ball is not giving a fuck ball.

yes pretty and beautiful when it works but there's no protecting the actual state of play.

that was embarrassing series and questions need asking about this style.

aggressive I get but not giving a fuck or pride I really don't get.

Lets be honest Abbey, Bazball isn't why we lost this series.

Pakistan first innings we allowed their Batsman to get single after single cos we put the field back. Why didn't Stokes start Ahmed after lunch instead of Atkinson? Why did Pope played with hard hands and push at the ball? why did Stokes leave a straight ball?

Crawley becomes the 2nd batsmen in history to hit a six in the opening over of a test.

Then gets bowled through the gate making 17.

He was averaging just over 9 against New Zealand pre-match.

You seemingly can't fix stupid.

I’m sure Rob Key’s friendship with Crawley’s dad has nothing to do with Zak’s continued selection.

I watched the first hour or so yesterday. The wicket was bowlers friendly to say the least. But at the same time some of the shots Crawley played were horrendous

It was as though he was playing 20/20

He came down the pitch twice to Henry and delivered a wild swing across the ball only to miss by a country mile each time. Couldn't believe what I was watching

He's getting worse!

Lucky lad Crawley (50 Tests!) to be playing in the era he’s in. Just think of all the talented cricketers in the 80s and 90s that were jettisoned after a couple of Tests if they happened to get a duck after receiving a jaffer from a McGrath or Ambrose.

Crawley like Pope comes off once in a while and it's OK being aggressive but taking this Bazball nonsense to such extremes he must have the brain the size of a pea to play the way he does. Bring back Barber, Barrington and Boycott.

Fifteen wickets falling in a day isn't good Test cricket in my view. This looks like another match unlikely to extend beyond 3 days. The public is being short-changed

NZ all out for 125, Atkinson 4 wickets, Carse 4 wickets.

Bit of a thrashing here.

Will soon be able to comment on Crawley's latest dismissal! (reverse hex!)

Bat at 6 and let's Stokes Bat 7. I would Drop Bethall

I think Bethall, albeit only two games in, has earned the right to make the number 3 slot his own (ditto Pope at number 6).

I’d also be very reluctant to move Pope back up the order.

It’s a nice problem to have and it will be interesting to see how they solve it.

England showing the same old weaknesses - their continuing failure to bowl out the tail-enders, NZ's last 3 put on more than 100 runs owing to a daft strategy of bowling bouncers at them, and a lack of ruthlessness against a struggling team. I know England have won the series but why not go for the 3-0 and give notice of intent with series against India and Australia on the horizon. Poor effort.
