It would seem our U-21s have not been invited to play in the EFL trophy this coming season but Fulham have the others are all premier league according to BBC football

Very harsh. His dad left years ago and he's made a little career for himself.  Captain for the U23 and seems to have a good attitude to improve. Grayson is good enough to carve out a career at League 2 (maybe 1).  A poor man's Mulgrew with a great left foot. Not mobile or aggresive enough for Championship but very sure he'll have career in the lower leagues. 

I think Buckley has the greatest potential of the U23 group. Butterworth is also very exciting, probably the most exciting attacking talent in a few years, though the competition isn't great. They might both benefit from a loan to get used to men's football with regular football. 

Magloire needs a loan as well. He's having it to easy in the U23 against lightweight attackers. Experience some more robust attackers in mens football will do him a world of good.  Probably one of if not the quickest footballer there has been at Rovers

No mention of replacement u23 managers. With Dunn and now Johnson gone we will surely need to recruit an external coach to drive the u23s on in the tough competitions next season.

I think they’ll move one of the others up and bring someone in at a lower level.

Good way to motivate and attract decent staff, we have George Boateng running the u14s don’t we?

Hasn't he been offered a role elsewhere recently too? If so, it would make sense if promoting Boateng to the u-23s (or maybe u-18s, with their coach moving up too) was part of the plan. Would obviously be a way to keep him around.

Ya hopefully they make a quick appointment here. In the past this would definitely have been something that would have been left hang possibly even into the new season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see George Boateng given the gig, he's been in and around the setup for a year or so now and has all of his badges as far as I'm aware?

It hardly seems like a step up unless they are in the Champions League qualifiers. Hardly likely to progress there if they are.

I would say the Coleraine first team is a step up from Rovers under 14s in fairness!

I was thinking before about magloire. He is supposedly faster than neymar and one of the fastest players in Europe.

who decided he should play CB. 

I am in no way saying the decision to play him there is wrong as obviously a lot of better qualified people who see him day in day out clearly know more but isn’t it a waste of his main asset.

plenty of players convert to different positions over the years, Dublin, Sutton etc.

i just wondered why or how he ended up at CB and not on the wing/ striker.

Seems a waste of a real quality attribute to me. Teach the lad to cross and shoot and let him loose . His tracking back would be excellent with his speed and tackling.

My guess would be that he couldn't hit a barn door. 

Pace is not the be all and end all for a striker, ask Usain Bolt.

Very true, however magloire is a professional footballer, bolt was a fit and lightening fast version of one of us lot trying to play.

He can already head, pass, control, use his strength etc so the ability with the ball is already their. He trains day in day out. I would expect any player from the 92 in any position to be able to cross and shoot. How well he could perfect it is why they train every day

Pace in a central defensive position is essential for the modern game. So many teams play on the front foot with a high press that recovery speed and negating quick counters is essential. Especially if you are to push your own back line forwards and be in the front foot.

Its why we can all see that Kyle Walker should be a right sided CB now.

I think Nyambe will go the same way - probably more specialist in a back three
