Cheers Chaddy. Seems alright from that, although most highlight reels achieve that. Seems odd I've never heard of him as he'll be 19 now.

What information do you need Rigger? The club website is showing the game on at Leyland on Wednesday 1st Feb.

The bundle was for three games at Ewood, as the game is now at Leyland, which is run by Lancashire FA, not the Rovers. And there is no facility at Leyland to read the codes on the tickets. Are the tickets still valid

I give in, are they?

The Rovers website still seems to be selling tickets for the game.

Think Tomlinson was Chorleys player of the season last year. However in recent weeks he has lost his place in the starting eleven to Joe Nolan. It has also been rumoured he returned at the start of the season a stone over weight. Hope he can knuckle down to fight for his place.

Had a trip to watch Bamber Bridge yesterday against Guiseley in particular to see how Felix Goddard was getting on. Felix had an excellent game making a number of crucial saves and commanding his box coming for high balls and catching them despite a battering from the Guiseley forwards. Unusual to see a keeper so dominant of his area at this level

Great win away at Liverpool for the U18's. I'm told Dom Biniek, one of the two Polish lads, played really well.

An 8-minute brace from Ben Thirkill according to google. A new name for me. Any good?

Looking at the table too, seems we really needed that. Second from bottom, ahead of Derby, who also won and are 2 points behind with 3 games in hand. Am I right in thinking there's no relegation from the U18s league?

I think it's just 2 leagues split into North and South so no relegation

No match reports on the official site for the last couple of U21 games, thus far. However, apparently, Rovers beat Wolves 0-1 yesterday, with Ben Fyles scoring again. Some newish names in the team such as Grady-Macken, Davies, Weston. I suppose at the end of this year there will be a long departure list as the likes of Burns, Butterworth, Whitehall, Saadi, Annesley, Pike, Eastham, Cirino will be considered to be let go.

No complaints on the night as the under 21's were well beaten by a superior Valencia team. The Spaniards could have been three up early on as a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept the score to one. Rovers rallied a bit towards half time and created a couple of chances as we counter attacked quickly. The second half saw Valencia comfortably defend their lead and double it towards the end. In fairness it was an extremely young Rovers team with only James Brown having any first team (one game) experience.

Sharpe, in his report I posted above, suggests it was fairly comfortable for Valencia.

Below is what he posted before the game, so a young Rovers were always going to be up against it:

Valencia compete in the Segunda Federacion, which is the fourth tier of the football pyramid in Spain. They've not lost in the league since October and their form in the Premier League International Cup has been just as impressive, unbeaten in the competition so far and are yet to concede. After a 0-0 draw with Fulham, they have been Leicester City (2-0) and Wolves (1-0) to sit top of the group.

Does anybody have an assessment of Ethan Walker? It looks like he suffered an injury in the game against Porto in mid-November. Doesn't look as though he's recovered from it, yet.
