Loved that comedy. He looked very young compared to the rest.

The oldest was Private Godfrey; old enough to be Pike's grandad.

I went to that game too! But I picked that  out of the story I read! Just assumed it was correct.

Big Louie. I remember seeing him at Rochdale after he left Rovers. He dived full length into a really sandy goal mouth for a diving header. I was right behind the goals. I saw him pick the chewing gum up that had come out of his mouth and put it back in his mouth !

RIP Roy, I never saw him play although he was Bryan Douglas’s understudy for several seasons.

A bit late to the party with this one but sad to hear of the untimely death of the BBC Radio DJ Steve Wright.

Sounds like he died suddenly at home. I know he had piled on the pounds in recent years so one can only speculate that it was a heart attack or stroke.

He was a master at his craft, that's for sure.

I never saw him in Corrie, he had a fantastic career in film and TV. A very good actor.

He was a 70's and 80's maverick who worked hard and played hard too. Supremely talented footballer who entertained us with his terrific skill.

Stan was a true entertainer who only wanted to play football no matter who for, regardless of what division they were in. RIP.

He got blown out at City, then Crewe. He was in the Last Chance saloon when Carlisle took a gamble on him and it worked out great for them. Then QPR took him back to the first division. A bit like our own Matt Jansen in style for those who never saw him play.

Heard that Robin Windsor died last week. One of the best dancers Britain has produced, and (along with his dance Partner Kristina Rhianoff) had the privilege of teaching me and Mrs E how to dance just after he left Strictly.

A kind and generous teacher, and a big personality gone from the world of Ballroom and Latin.

A lovely chap from Barrow-in-Furness, really gutted me this one...
