Seriously though, it’s half the season gone and the lad seems to have disappeared. The injury was a flexor type one? We are even beginning to hear from Samuel and Gladwin

Was excited to see what this kid could do judging on the praise he got for his performances for Burton for half a season at Championship level. Still have hope that he has just been very unfortunate with injuries.

This lad was on the cusp of the first team when he bossed Liverpool u23's before Christmas. Dunno whats going on. Obviously not quite first team material yet.

It's very simple what is going on. Injuries. Got nothing to do with him being first team material or not at this stage. You can't be eligible if you can't stay fit.

Update on Davenport.

Sounds like, we won't see him at all this season.

TM said that Davenport was back training and should be ready to get back into regular squad training. Thought he might have had a run out last night with U23’s. Any updates on his fitness?

When he first joined he probably would have thought he was guaranteed a place in the starting eleven. As things stand now, he might find it hard to get into the matchday squad when fit. The emergence of Travis, Rodwell showing he still has it, and the success of Reed combined with Evans and Smallwood means he will have his work cut out now.

Loan til the end of the season will do him good. Unless he shows him training that he's streets ahead of all of them, he's not getting ahead of Evans, Smallwood, Reed and now Travis. Quickest way he can force his way in will be through going to a league 1 side and stand out.

Spotted him sat amongst the staff and subs during the newcastle home game. Thats as much as hes been seen since pre season. Still no idea if hes any good when fit or not.

Will be great to get him fit. Still only 19/20 and was probably seen as the main signing in the summer until Armstrong.

Seemed to have made a huge impression at Burton last season in the Championship.
