Goal fest tonight. 4-3, but I am not gonna predict which way. Brereton to score a brace. I'm looking forward to this game as to be honest it is slightly irrelevant to what we wanna achieve this season but I would happily celebrate a good cup run. Hoping to see Rodwell and Brereton start.

Butterworth and Grayson are with the squad. Raya shared them singing initiation songs last night. I would like to see Butterworth get a start in Dacks position.

Would rather Palmer got a run out there. Use Butterworth off the bench

But if we have a crucial league game with a few injuries soon it will probably be Palmer that plays. Therefore I'd rather Palmer got his confidence up / playing competitively regularly.  Unless of course we think Butterworth is as good / better in which case I'd play him.

I'd say Palmer will start, I would just like Butterworth to get 45 min at least. I have heard he is a talented lad

Whilst I get the desire to play our academy players, we cant have that attitude towards Palmer or it would render loaning him pointless.

He will play a key role in the next 7 or 8 months for us, and as @Hasta suggests he needs game time to be ready in the league. He has already contributed 3 goals.

There is no need to fasttrack Butterworth into the starting 11, we have plenty of young players ahead of him in attacking positions so his best bet maybe to do well consistently for the under 23s and be loaned out either in Jan or at the end of the season.

Disappointed for Travis, I really don't understand why he wasn't loaned out. Good to see Brereton and Rodwell starting.

Hope its not 3 at the back. 

Rodwell surely in midfield as theres no other central midfielders in what is a very strange team.

Hope Brereton, Palmer, Armstrong, Rodwell and Rothwell take their chances. Glad to see them all start.

On paper that us a very good team. Good place to try them all out. It is Premier league opposition but a chance to play Football. A chance for Rodwell to become an instant hero.

That would make far more sense as it at least has one central midfielder. Find it bizarre especially with Travis, Reed and Tomlinson on the bench.

Looks like three at the back to me -

Lenihan, Rodwell, Williams with Nyambe and Bell as wing backs. Conway, Rothwell and Palmer in midfield with Brereton and Armstrong up front as a pair.
