By any measure he should have been fired by now. Current form, league position, number of goals scored, abysmal lack of entertainment on show. You name it, it’s the pits. It’s killing the support base. We’ll be lucky to get 7,500 home fans next season if a change isn’t made.

This is what happens when a manager has the inside of the club stitched up. This journey and building football clubs line is all about creating their own little vehicle to operate from. 

Waggot will blag the owners whilst protecting his manager it seems him, TM and Veno will very much come as a threesome now. You'll never get rid of one without the other 2.

Costly job in both getting rid and replacing so even if they might actually want to get rid they could be playing better the devil you know. You can forget any promotion attempts though.

What these lot have in mind is a dumbed down operation that's easy to manage. With the team sitting midtable acting live a development squad/nursery club for other clubs and their agent pals. Selling it to the owners on the back of reduced running costs, income from land sales and churning out youth. A nice stress free low expectation enviroment for manager and CEO. 

They don't give a stuff there might only be 6k on most weeks, easy to keep them quiet. The owners will still be underwriting the bills, happy days. All this comes about because they aren't capable of doing any better. So we get told that's our natural future level when in reality it isn't, it's theirs.

The excuse laden narrative has been ready and waiting to go since last summer in the likely event we didn't get anywhere this season.

Covid.

Bad pitch.

Injuries.

Bad weather.

A season like no other.

Liverpool are struggling.

No fans.

Congested fixture list.

They've had these up their sleeves since last season and they will become more used over the coming weeks. This is all for India's benefit and to protect the happy camp they've got set up here.

We're right back at 2011 folks. The intentions and motives of the people concerned might be better than they were back then as might the capabilities but nothing has really changed in the structure. A manager with complete power who isn't measured by results and silence from India.

If that's the way they want to play then that's up to them, but I'm not minded to spend hundreds of pounds backing it any more.

Just like we've assumed all along they'll only give it ear time in the usual June/July meeting.  By which time the long list of excuses will be ready to present along with a new set of proposals, empty promises.

As you were will the answer maybe even with a new contract or two 🥴

Or even if they do decide a change is needed, this is far too late for the new guy to affect anything until Christmas.

Sacked in July, new guy in some time in August (probably just before the season starts) from a reduced pool of decent managers, no pre-season, only a month to get any signings done without being able to assess what he needs first, so best case is he addresses some of the issues in Jan. Reality is it's another season wasted.

Time for change is now*, as many other clubs are realising.

At normal clubs, of course. Here not so sure.

But there’s no point even giving it much thought until the annual Pune summit in June... he survives that and he’ll be here for the remainder of his contract (or maybe he’ll even emerge with a new one).

They arent going to say at a meeting like this that Mowbray is hanging on by a finger nail or that he would be replaced in the summer.

Mind you, I still think that Mowbray will be here well into next year

After ten years of this regime nothing they do (or actually don’t do) amazes me anymore.

The club is a neglected shell with cash pumped in merely to keep it is as a going concern. There’s no actual drive to achieve anything from the owners down, so situations like this do nothing but divide the fanbase... which is a decent situation for Waggott and crew to operate in anyway.

This part is so, so, spot on. And something portions of our fanbase are absorbing. 

Unfortunately the longer the 3 remain. The more our infrastructure and support base dwindles. Our natural level reduces. 

We are desperate for change. Now!
