Keegan, Waddle & McDermott in the team...17k in the ground

I was there in April 1981 for a midweek game, one of the infamous triple 0-0 draws which ultimately cost us promotion under Kendall, and the crowd was 13,000!

3 matches later we played them at Ewood in front of 10,000 when we were still in the running for promotion so not a great turnout; probably less than we took to Bury for our promotion party the season before.

Football especially Premiership has been marketed so well since then that’s it’s difficult to compare crowds in different eras.

derby are there for the taking imo, anything less than 3 points at this stage of the season is not cutting it

Why are they there for the taking? Third best home record in the league.

because they distinctly average with nothing to play for and got given the runaround on thursday night

See, you say they're distinctly average, but again, there are only two teams in the league with a better home record, and we are at their place. So again, why are they there for the taking?

Being given the runaround by a team that would give pretty much every team in this league the runaround doesn't really answer that.

Having 'nothing' to play for didn't stop them beating Sheff Weds 3-1 away last week either.

Aside from the two home games against the league leaders, this is theoretically the hardest game we have left. I don't expect a win.

We also don't have anyone fit to clean Rooney's boots.

seems his new mantra is to foul every single player of the opposition,he was litterally having a hack at anybody on thursday night,he`s going to clash with travis or johnson  at some point as he plays deeper these days?

As previously highlighted, Derby have a good home record, but let’s get it right, if we want to get in the play offs- we need to be winning.
There can be no excuses.

Totally agree.

Will be eight days since our last game whilst Derby played and lost last night - we should be fresh and raring to go.

Nine points from our last six games whilst Derby have just five points - we are the form team.

Can only see a Rovers' win.

I think we’ve blown it with these draws while everyone else slipped up. You don’t get unlimited chances.

Yet ...all the other teams who ve slipped up are thinking exactly the same ..yet all still in it .

All to play for .

Absolutely.

We are the form team from fifth to tenth.

It's now a 10 game season.

It's now down to bottle - who really wants it.

It's ours to lose.

Millwall went to Forest tonight, won 3-0 against the odds. If we want to get in the play offs, we need to do something similar.
Not saying I expect us to turn them over 3-0, but we need a win if we really want to get in the play offs, for me, it’s that simple....
