On the 15th February, Rovers play Plymouth Argyle at Ewood.

Coincidentally, that will be 50 years to the day since that famous 5-2 victory, which was the first Rovers game I ever went to. My dad dragged me down and sat me in the old Riverside stand.

I can still remember it even now.

You pick your games ! One of the classics, along with the 7-2 demolition of the mighty Spurs.

To this day my favourite ever Rovers match. I was in the front row of the Nuttall St stand & Don Revie was in the visiting directors box right in front of me. Often wondered why…looking at Paul Mariner for England?
if there was one match I’d love to have on video it would be this one.

Harringtons ! That’s a blast from the past. I’ve got a nice one made by “ Baracuta “ when they were still made in England. I just checked their site - £250 now !

My genuine Baracuta Harrington is canary yellow so as you can imagine I don’t wear it too often. I have several other ones by other makers like “ Fred Perry “,  “ Falconable “, etc. They are a very versatile jacket.

I've currently only got a Merc one.

Ben Sherman make a nice one also.

I could never afford a proper Baracuta one, maybe one day.
