The trouble with Dolan is when he has a bad game it’s really bad. Dog shit level. Hedges has about one decent game in five. Not good enough and never will be.

Exactly. If either does stay then I think they still have to prove their worth and it would likely be as squad players. Players like that wont take us anywhere if we have a slither of ambition.

With a decent scouting system and the right backing (lol I know) this kid would be replaced so easily. Quite simply one hugely frustrating footballer who we won’t miss when he does leave at the end of the season.

I rated Dolan highly and I would offer him a new 4 years contract. 

Hedges is someone I rated and I think some people low ball his quality he has. No one was under rated him when he scored at Norwich away or last season at Watford

Would they both be seen as first team regulars? 

Why is Hedges living off that one goal a year ago? He doesnt do enough often enough.

I'd be okay with Dolan and Hedges continuing as squad players with a wage that reflects that. I think both are good options to come off the bench, for different reasons. I wouldn't want them re-signing as first team players with wages reflecting that, as I just don't think either are in that bracket if we have any serious ambition to ever get out of this league.

Now, if you're factoring in Venky's, our lack of budget and the chances of us signing worse than Dolan and Hedges as replacements... well, it's a different conversation. Depends how much faith you have in the recruitment team continuing to work with what is likely to be a minuscule budget.

Only at venky rovers would these two be considered good enough for the starting 11.

You keep mentioning the Watford goal as if its a strong argument in his favour. The fact that you do so suggests that as is the case, he doesnt score very many. In most games, he does what he did today, practically nothing.

I can't stand Dolan.

I think he is a little upstart and a gobshite and his ability level matches his small physical stature.

We need shut and fast.  If any club is willing to pay a fee then snatch their hand off.

Hedges stats speak for themselves. He contributes very little from an attacking perspective. One goal a year ago doesn’t change that. 
 

He’s a good footballer though, and he works hard. I can see why Eustace picks him in that regard, but he just doesn’t offer enough goals or assists to make him a good attacking option in the Championship.

my hopes now is he (which he wont)  loses the arrogance and realise he ain't as good as he thinks he is.

I think that the three managers he has played under here will have seen how erratic his decision making is and tried to change him. His fancy flicks, too many touches, losing possession, turning into trouble and other things are part of his make up now and I don't believe he has the wherewithal to change. For me it's time to get rid and I would be looking to sell him in January if there are any suitors.

I also think for the good of the team, he should be benched.

I’ve probably defended him more than most but he’s going backwards at the moment because the flaws in his game have never been ironed out.

Need to sell and I wouldn’t support an increase in salary contract.

When he performes he’s effective but that’s not enough, the rest of his games are way below championship standard. If a decent fee comes calling in January then we should sell.

From what I saw yesterday, Dolan is like me at walking football. All over the place, makes a couple of decent moves then fucks it up.
