The defensive side of this team is a million miles away from being top 6 worthy. Admittedly weve got a vast unabailable list but weve conceeded far too many for far too many seasons. It feels as if every attack against us is a goal atm. 

Some is down to crap players but a lot needs to lie with the coaching team.

Looking at the table, only 9 games in but we are getting sucked into the relegation places.

Five defeats out of nine puts us joint-second-worst in the Championship.

Need to get back into this game. Coventry last night and Derby so far today showing that top six opposition shouldn’t automatically be a free pass defeat.

How can a manager not bloody sort a defence out...stupid dinosaur....other managers come in and get the teams playing..see stoke millwall brum reading etc

i find it amazing that mowbray or venus who were both hardcore defenders can`t organise a defence,do they actually work on defending at brockhall

It's basic stuff every time it's pathetic now. And looking at a defence with 3 out of a back four still who've struggled for years is again pathetic.

The defensive pool needed a complete and utter overhaul. That means getting fucking rid of the weak links instead of just saying oh it's ok they'll be good back up.

Doesn't happen in Mowbray world it's an old pals club.

Winterburn was a decent defender and became 'a defensive coach' and, IMO, was hopeless at it.

You need the right mindset.  Howard Kendall had it, Mark Hughes had it, Big Sam had it.
