Email the CEO If you wants answers but stop asking me your pointless questions when you know I don't have the answers

You did have the answer though, you said it didn't matter that there was no head of recruitment, because the club said so.

Now we all know this not to be the case(even though anyone with an iota of sense knew this to always be the case).

Love this new cracking display of petulance when proved wrong on an issue you’ve patronised everybody else on for weeks.

’Err, well, why don’t you just email them then?’

Venky's have been nothing but poison for this club. I am pretty sure most posters on here are in agreement with that, but sadly, there are far too many, who are STILL trotting out the badly advise crap. Until the fan base is united and finds a way of coming together with a common goal to drive them out, our beloved club, is indeed, in grave danger.

It surely isn't in dispute that they HAVE been badly advised over the years by people just out for their own ends.

The current situation is worse than it's ever been for me with the charlatans running operations on the ground and the Club into the ground.

It's up to Venky's as owners to keep a close enough eye on it to realise when things are going wrong and take swift and decisive action whenever needed and in general they have never done this.

Mowbray's record last season, conduct and demeanour spoke  for themselves. Abysmal.

What does Waggott have to do to get sacked as well? Raises the season ticket prices during a pandemic and decimates the fan base by 75%, the underhanded Brockhall scheme they had to do a U turn on, the contractual situation with the players, promising a brand new pitch and not delivering, no kit to start the season with.

The Coventrio should have been gone long ago. Until the owners start dealing with nonsense like this decisively then they won't get and don't deserve much sympathy but let's not pretend they haven't been and still aren't being badly advised.

They have been and probably still are, but people use said ‘bad advice’ to excuse their disastrous decision making.

The buck stops with them.

I think the badly advised argument initially arose in opposition to the stupid accusations in the early days that they weren't the real owners or that there was some form of criminality or money laundering going on on behalf of either themselves or someone else.

After ten years and in excess of £200m losses and counting  I'm of the view they are well intentioned. That doesn't however mean they are or have been good owners. You can engage whoever you like to run the Club on your behalf but you have to be savvy and engaged enough to realise when things are going wrong and step in quickly and decisively to nip things in the bud.

What many of us have been saying for years, sadly some fans do not see that the real issues lie upstairs, some post on here.

The changes can only start on the pitch and in the dugout but fans know that the real issues lie upstairs and with the club now heavily indebted to the Venky’s, it begs the question of whether we’ll see change before we see relegations, worsening financial problems and the collapse of a once great Blackburn Rovers.

I'll also add that I've never heard the phrase ‘Mowbrayball’ from the article..

As @arbitro said last week and some of us have been saying for a while, give me non league football tomorrow to get rid of Venkys and I'd take that now. This club and town can then start to rebuild, hopefully in time for my grandchildren to take on the baton and do it with pride and passion for this once great football club.

But we digress....

What if they don’t leave, Gav?

Because that’s the current premise.

Any right-thinking Rovers fan knows Venkys are the problem but unless someone has a bright idea to get rid of them (boycotts won’t be supported), or somehow convince them that they need to be more hands-on, then two wrongs don’t make a right and Mowbray still needs replacing.

What a club. 😟

The letters sent first by Messrs Williams, Finn and Goodman and latterly by Paul Hunt spelt it out clearly to the owners what they needed to do but they didn't heed this and actually got did of all four for their temerity. This naive, badly advised nonsense should be out to bed. The buck stops with them. And all these years on they are still running the club awfully with chancers and shysters. I'm sick of people defending the indefensible.

That link didn't work for me.

Pretty irrelevant now and may be splitting hairs but they didn't sack Williams, Goodman and Finn, they negotiated their own departures after what happened to Allardyce.

I agree with pretty much all of this. I get that the words 'badly advised' anger many because some Rovers fans use that as a cop out to excuse the owners. However, it is true that they were and still are being badly advised. That doesn't excuse them in any way, though. They are not innocent or naive, they simply know nothing about football and how best to run a football club. Why they still own this club is a mystery.

In my opinion, they don't know when to step in and put their foot down, so things just drag on and on. Remember that nonsense "we are confused" interview? He wasn't kidding. That's why the charlatans are having a whale of a time. They will never have it this 'good' again at any other club.

The HSH pillocks, Waggott, whoever else has their ear...I don't believe a single one of them advises anything for the benefit of the club. It's all about getting out as much as they can for themselves and their mates. It doesn't take a genius to work out why one of the clowns recently called them 'fantastic owners'.

Any owner with a shred of football knowledge would recognise that 2 wins in 17 isn't good enough and that a change needs to be made. Mowbray even expected it. Not these owners, though.

Any owner with a shred of football knowledge would recognise that your best assets need to be tied down to help the club in the long term. Not these owners, though.

The manager looks fed up, his demeanor says he couldn't care less and he is now slowly backtracking from his aim of the top 6. Not a problem. Crack on. After all, who has given them all that spiel and jargon about 'philosophy, identity, transitions, possession football, growing the club etc'? He's probably viewed as some kind of football expert in Pune who just needs a bit more time.

Do the owners want Premier League football? Probably, but they have no idea how to get there and imo, they are entrusting people at the club, who don't want promotion to the Premier League. The entire lot of them need to go in order for us to get our club back. As the owners won't sell up, the first step should be to launch the Coventrio out.

As pointed out by Arbitro, they chose to ignore the letter written, by Paul Hunt, Williams, Finn & Goodwin. They have also ignored the offer Ian Battersby, & Ian Currie, to buy into the club, which would have allowed them to eventually, bow out. At that time, the debt was a fraction of the current level. The fans letter sent a few weeks ago, again has been totally ignored. Even now, players contracts are not renewed in time and people are brought in as recently as this week, who can only be regarded as connected to the others, already here, who appear to be, feathering their own nests.

Surely when all they seem to listen to, are the wrong people, it can’t be bad luck. HSH look like nothing but trouble, yet the owners allow them to carry on bringing players, managers and administrators in whilst describing the owners as fantastic. What is going on?
No wonder people have suspicions that someone else is a shadow owner, what else can make all this plausible?

HSH and CH football service Limited.

I wonder if there is any historic link to SEM for either of those?

Its not irrelevant Rev, but it does put to bed the excuse that "They've been badly advised" - When in fact they've had lots of very good advice from day 1, coming from real footballing people, they just chose to ignore it and here we are 8 manager later, numerous chairmen/CEO's later and £150m debt.

Course they were "badly advised", they were advised to replace Allardyce with Kean which prompted the eventual departures of Williams and Finn in protest.

Don't think it's any secret Honeyman is ex SEM is it?

Might not have a formal contract to advise the Club any more but the agency being run by this bloke still seem to be our first port of call for transfers.

Interesting how Smallwood flags up there, the man allowed to sit out his contract. Even getting a few months 'covid' extension.

It's a cosy little set up make no mistake.

I suspect the two firms of accountants, once brought in to check the books was to try to figure out, cosy little things like this. It must be difficult to work out, who is playing and who is sat there on a players contract, with no prospect of any games ever.  If the standard is Myles above your level, yet you have been paid a signing on fee and premier league wages, to carry things for the players, who from India, is likely to know?

Whether it's a while ago or current some strange things are still happening and it is enough to make some people cry.

I still don't think everyone is fully aware of what has gone on and is still going on. Even if everyone on here knows, there is no harm in a reminder now and then, especially as the badly advised line, still crops up.
