Newcastle take over starting to look more and more like Venks#2 only on an even grander scale.

I think the fans will soon turn if the bs carries on and the results don't improve.

They won at the weekend?

Seem to be making much better signings than we did.

Ferguson as Everton manager can onlyvwork if he gets a GREAT level headed number 2 and coaching team to balance things out.

I don't think that bunch of thrown together Everton players will take too kindly to Furgusons style.

Think they are in real trouble.

There is usually one “ established “ Premier League team that makes a balls of their season. Poor managerial appointments will do it, but bad player signings, more than their share of serious injuries, etc don’t help. I don’t think Everton will be that team but on the other hand if they did go down I wouldn’t be totally surprised.

Roy Boy in at Watford apparently.

Bad news for Burnley if you ask me. He'll get a tune out of the Watford players, and I'm sure a nice bonus if he keeps them up.

As has been said on here often Woy came to Ewood at the wrong time. He is a good manager.

Good manager but our fate is in our hands, not Watfords or anyone else’s. We win a few games we stay up, we don’t and we go down.

Wrong time and the wrong type of club. Roy works best with underdogs, which we weren't at the time.

Shrewd appointment by Watford, albeit one of very few they could have made to appoint a manager older than their previous one. All eyes on Everton now. They could very easily end up sucked into the relegation zone with Newcastle spending money and Watford appointing a good manager.

Didn't think Roy would be back in management at 74.

His time at Palace, and then leaving at the end of the season, just felt right. That was it, he left on his own terms, keeping Palace in the league and stepping aside for a younger, up and coming manager in Vieira to come in and move the club forward.

Watford are a total basket case, sacking managers at an alarming rate. And it will be a shame if it all goes wrong for him and he's binned off at the drop of a hat.

Exactly. It seemed like the right time for him to sign off too, with him being a boyhood Palace fan and all that!

Some people just can't bring themselves to stop working, particularly if it's a job they enjoy. Roy is probably a lot like Sir Bobby - his life is the game and he'll likely be involved in it until he literally can't be anymore.

Saw a quote yesterday, Watford sacked Dyche in 2012 when the new owners took over. Since then they have had 15 managers - so basically an average of 1 1/2 managers per year. That said they have had relative success so the model clearly works for them.

It must be a very expensive way of running the show.

Reasons to hate Watford.

Even better stat on Talksport this morning was Woy will be the 6th manager they've had since they last kept a clean sheet in the Premier League!
