That's the only reason they've allowed no bubble for this.

what reason?

its a sensible footballing decision after talks with the cubs and EFL/Police. About time they allowed fans to make their own way instead of imprisoning them against their will!

No trains being available and therefore no choice really but to get on a coach/minibus, which will no doubt be escorted from the motorway junction on arrival. All they’re changing is that we don’t need to be at Ewood for 8.30AM.

I’m also certain the club will have booked out enough coaches for that full allocation too, so independently organising one will be a nightmare, too.

No trains.

The majority will still bus it there.

Yes, Rovers have mentioned that 5-week break being crucial for JDT to get working with the players daily and will go to Spain for 5 to 7 days training camp during that time.

What are the other things going on cos I haven't any rumours on it?

Nothing clear on the rumours, just that there is more to the story than we are being told.

Komoany has said quite a few times that he sees the second half of the season as the time to see where we are at, when he’s had some time with most of his squad.

Home tickets released today, can’t imagine there will be anything other than the odd single available after today.

Going to be the most anticipated since 2000 I think. I am worried about trouble but equally don’t enjoy the bubble experience. I hope everyone has a good day and is safe - and of course that we smash you on the pitch 5-0.

As I pointed out above anyone who doesn't want to have the control of the official coaches can take the rail replacement bus and therefore choose when to travel.

Not so sure the fact there are no trains played any significant part its only a short distance between the towns.

I believe more will make their own way because it might be that our fuktard element wont get tickets hopefully

Yeah but our fuktard element will be free to roam the streets - and tickets or not I guess some of yours can travel over for a ‘bit of a ruck’

Bus as I said, chances are, every coach/bus/minibus transiting into Burnley will still end up being escorted to their destination. I am not knocking it, it's just inevitable.

That's where the lack of trains helps matters as traditionally large groups sticking together travel that way.

I think it was the cup game mid 2000s when a group from Blackburn got pulled off a train scheduled to arrive in Burnley AFTER the kick off.  Clear what the intentions were there and in a fixture at Ewood, maybe the return leg, Police dragged several hundred Burnley off at Rishton and marched them all the way to Ewood.

No trains has a massive bearing on this.

Not quite, the train was stopped and delayed till after the kick off, which provided a lot clearer escort for the police from Burnley Barracks down to the turf, undoubtedly pre planned by the police. From memory I'd say the Rishton one was 2000/2001 the 5-0 game.

In a way the train strike has helped the police who were undoubtedly worried about the prospect of Rovers fans arriving in Burnley and walking through swathes of Dingles. As it is I think that the vast majority of Rovers fans will be taking up the club travel option simply because it offers the safest passage in and out.

The game at Ewood in March will be far riskier if we give them the full allocation for the Darwen End and they travel independently. Waggott really has to consider this carefully and put the well being of the club and supporters first. In truth I'll be amazed if he cuts their allocation on the grounds of safety rather than that seeing the Dingles as a cash cow.

It's just engineering work at the moment that weekend rather than a strike, so there are rail replacement buses.

Of course they could still strike that weekend yet as they have to give 2 weeks notice, i think they probably will looking at when they have done in previous months.

Sorry I was aware it was engineering works rather than a strike but my point still stands about the police wanting as few as possible Rovers fans outside the Turf Moor vicinity.

I doubt the unions would call a strike on remembrance Sunday, very bad PR.

Well they won't force the rail replacement buses to divert via Turf Moor. My guess is that they will plan to meet each of those buses to escort any fans, but that's complicated by Burnley having three railway stations that you can use.

Haven't done so yet but inclined to join the 1875 club now.....

Got the season ticket and 3 aways boxed off which would normally secure a ticket but I'm guessing it's gonna be those things AND 1875 club to get first dibs. Got folk by the bollocks really here if they don't want to miss out....

Just check before buying one as they stated in an article a while back that any 1875 memberships bought after August 31st wouldn't count towards the first priority of ticket sales for any game.

There can’t be more than 500 or so ST holders that are also 1875.

So a ST holder with three aways like yourself shouldn’t have a problem with a 2300 allocation.

The only foreseeable issue is if they go - 1) 1875 ST holders with aways, 2) 1875 ST holders,  3) All ST holders, as it would then be a free for all… so yeah actually you best sign up as that sounds like exactly the kind of thing they’d do!

Ask Chaddy, he managed to find out that it was free to get in to the U21s for everyone last week.
