Football has been very low on my list of priorities this week, however ....

My concern is we have a lot of players who have signed for Burnley, because they were sold a dream by Vincent Kompany ... many from Continental Europe. He's now going/gone, so the new manager will have to sooth some " ruffled feathers ", especially among those who aren't getting game time. If not, then we're into " fire sale " territory, or tons of players going out on loan !!

Trafford, I'm sure will come good, and will go on to play many times for England. I'd be ecstatic to get back what we paid for him at this point though, and move on ...

And like a bad dream he (Lampard) is now being linked to our vacancy. You guys may yet get your wish, we might actually appoint someone more useless than Kean.

Please lord make it be so 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

He will still never be as bad as kean. Nobody in the history of world football will ever be as bad as him.

Still, he achieved more points than Saint Vincent.....

Kompany had a core of a squad of existing players upon which he built, Barnes, Cork and Brownhill being as important as anyone in that promotion season. He then spent £30 million on top.

Any new manager has a lot more on his plate.

Funnily enough, I think someone passible but obviously not brilliant could end up be the most harmful option for you.

Lampard, given a good Championship squad like he had at Derby (or will have with you lot) won't be a disaster week on week. He'll look the part and do enough to keep himself in a job and you broadly at the right end of the table, but does he have enough to get you promoted? Much less certain, and at least with someone as obviously awful as Kean, you could have him booted out by bonfire night and start again.

the loans of tomori, harry wilson and mason mount had a lot to do with lampards modest success at derby, you can`t trust him to build a side from scratch, definately a case of good player, terrible manager,he`ll do for the dingles i reckon😁

With 2 out of 3 promotion spots going every year to parachute payment clubs, what those clubs want is someone like Parker who delivers with a good budget.

dingles will have to offload their big earners and that will have an impact on them spending,im`e not sure their current squad will have the physicallity to stand up to championship football, they are all the same type of players

Absolutely, there's no hardcore of Championship hardened players in their squad this time around.

That’s the spirit, if we can win at Leeds and Leicester we can win there.

Most of their promotion squad is still there. Plus Berge and O'Shea who are added Champinship hardened players.
