With respect that’s nonsense.

But give me non league football to get rid of these inept owners.

You’re probably the only one on this messageboard who is extremely positive about recent performances (fair play to you), and saying you’re enjoying how we’ve been playing throughout February.
What’s made you say you’d rather be in the conference north now?

Venkys came into the club vowing to reduce wages and get finances under control, how did that work out?

I know of 2/3 groups that are interested in buying the club right now.

Id take administration right now to get rid of them.

We’re talking about two different things here. You said “give it to the fans”. If they did that then it would be bump, quick, like I said. If they sold to a fan led group with back for nothing then yes, I agree with you.

For all his up and down Zeefuik is a bit of an illusion and i think too fragile for this league, a shadow of Nyambe.

Looked like a calf strain today. We’re gonna have to watch JRC pretend to be a footballer 3 times in a week aren’t we.

Buckley? Dolan?

I’d be tempted to give JRC one game and if this form continues change formation until one of Zeefuik or Nyambe is back.

I think I’d be very annoyed if I was a multi billionaire that simply wanted to make a really good football club yet I was restricted about how much money I can spend. Is that an answer?

Yep, dunno why it can't just be structured differently. It was supposed to be to protect clubs.

Have a special clause, owner can invest 50 million for example, but it can't ever be saddled to the club.

If it's a success, owner can pull it back out in future. If not, owner loses the money. Call it the FFP exemption pot or something.

Maybe I'm being naive, but seems fairly easy and workable to me.

Could even work down at Salford City level for the class of 92.

Still protects the clubs.

All Rovers fans have been positive haven’t they? Why would Rovers fans be critical of a winning run?

That said, I’ve never hid the fact I want these owners gone, if conference North is what it takes, sign me up now.

A good run and punching above our budget will never change that.

Glimpses from JRC today that offered a bit of encouragement.

NOT when he was wing back though, more when he got involved elsewhere.

Vast difference on a player by player basis today, Premiership and top class Championship players against youngsters, loanees, and a few Championship specialists. A rude awakening regarding how well this team would fare against PL opposition. The 2-0 goal a prime example, Pickering has probably been able to stand on his heels and rest up for a second in those situations in the rest of the games this season, but against this opposition he gets punished swiftly. Still, their first goal was the result of two calamitous interventions from Rovers players in the same situation, and we were centimeters from scoring on two occasions. We still look toothless in attack though, with Giles about as lost as a cook in a carpeting store. I'm sure he'd be raking in the assists if he played in a team with a striker to aim his crosses at, but we don't even use one!

Not enough strength in depth...we knew this situation would arise with injuries to key Players.Owners who simply did not back us enough in January.

Dropping like a Stone.

We saw it throughout the 80’s my friend, this isn’t our first rodeo, it was obvious.

Safe journey home to the 1600 fans, you’re a credit to the town and club.

Result as expected. Without BBD it seems we don’t have any real goal threat. What’s most concerning to me is the status of the club for next year. Of the 14 that were on the pitch today. 5 are loans, 2 are out of contract. Of the 7 that will be back, none look likely to have standout performances. Unless we sell BBD for 30 million and reinvest all those funds, I don’t see the side having more talent than this.

I said recent performances, not been many wins or performances even in there

Bournemouth, QPR, Luton, Coventry all lose (and Bournemouth if it matters) perspective is needed.
As I’ve said, we’ve got a great run in - if we don’t make the top 6 now it’ll be a huge failure. Should comfortably get to 75+ points

Good day for Boro and Huddersfield.

Playoffs between ourselves, Boro, Hudds and Sheff Utd. Hopefully we draw the terriers for a big away day!

They came into the club with the remit to get wages under control, they sacked Nelson, Salgado and many more towards that aim and look where we are.

They should write off the debt they created and sod off, hand it over to the fans, I agree with you on that point J*B.

If they were hand it over to the fans; what price would you charge for a season ticket & how many would you expect to sell at that price ?

It's a weird thing to say when you see how fast he is, but he's not an athlete.

In the sense that when he warmed up infront of the Jack Walker Stand I remarked to the people I go to the game with that he looked incredibly stiff / inflexible.

With the amount of injuries he picks up it looks like my observation was correct.

Seems every kick or knock he takes he has to go off or miss a game i'm not sure he really fancies it enough.

No doubt he was in pain today but he's looking like the German version of Adam Henley. Nowt but a bit of pace and made of glass.

OMG, I thought that was the only thing he was!
